Lost in Fall Blooms and French Charm

An enchanting symphony of fall’s richest colors and lush floral artistry unfolded in the French Countryside. Each petal and leaf whispered a story of romance and seasonal splendor. Talented creatives joined forces to weave history, nature, and fashion into an editorial masterpiece, where abundant blooms and timeless elegance set the stage for an unforgettable dreamscape.

Capucine Atelier Floral and Dogwood & Fir, having previously collaborated during a floral workshop in France, felt the urge to create magic once more. They envisioned a project that celebrated their artistry while embracing the romance of fall. Joining forces with Estelle of Madame Wedding Design, they curated an atmosphere where maximalism met chic elegance.

Inspiration

Fall’s nostalgic charm, with its crisp air and golden hues, became the cornerstone of the shoot. The aha moment arrived when the team discovered the Manoir de Vacheresses, a 13th-century manor nestled in Nogent-le-Roi, just outside Paris. The manor’s history, preserved architecture, and serene surroundings provided the perfect canvas for this creative masterpiece.

The inspiration for this shoot sparked from a heartfelt reunion. Capucine Atelier Floral shared how moments spent exploring Parisian gardens and vibrant markets shaped their vision. “After brainstorming and discussing potential color palettes and textures, we decided to elevate the look with fabrics and materials to bring a trendy-yet-timeless look,” added the florist. Their design drew from the warm fall palette and the historical charm of the Manoir, blending nature’s beauty with artistic expression.

Location

Manoir de Vacheresses stands as a testament to medieval architecture and timeless elegance. Restored with care by owners Frédérique and Philippe, the manor has hosted exclusive events since 2017. Its original 13th-century doors, windows, staircases, and charming pigeon tower transport visitors back in time. The venue’s historical essence and natural beauty influenced every detail of the shoot. The lush greenery and rustic charm harmonized with the vibrant fall palette, creating an ethereal setting that felt both intimate and grand.

"The cherry on top of this magnificent historic piece of architecture is the aqueduct located in the gardens of the property surrounded by ancient apple trees varieties."

Fashion

The bridal fashion exuded a delicate balance of strength and grace. Inspired by the romantic aura of the venue, Top Bridal Paris provided a breathtaking gown that felt both bold and elegant. “The dress has killer shape and strapless corset with a jumbo bow on the lower back that accentuates perfectly the design but most importantly the vibe of this strong but innocent woman,” added the Cécile.

Chloe Robin drew from the venue’s timeless charm to craft a makeup look that enhanced the model’s natural beauty with luminous skin and softly defined features, creating a bridal vision that felt ethereal yet powerful. The choice of accessories was minimal, with a single striking pair of statement earrings adding an elegant touch without overwhelming the look.

Art of Blooms

Capucine Atelier Floral and Dogwood & Fir brought the floral vision to life with thoughtful artistry and seasonal elegance. Drawing inspiration from the richness of fall, they chose Copper Vienna chrysanthemums, their rare beauty making them the star of the shoot. Warm-toned Cappuccino, Mocca, Bayley, and Vuvuzela roses, along with delicate Juliette and Tess varieties from David Austin, created a floral story that developed with depth and texture. Vanda orchids, clematis, and dahlias completed the lush compositions.

Capucine Atelier Floral craftsmanship ensured every arrangement felt intentional, balancing boldness with softness. Collaborating with Dogwood & Fir, they created floral moments that felt instinctive yet refined, as if nature itself had curated each bloom.

Decor & Cake

The decor reflected the shoot’s theme of opulent simplicity. Long patterned tablecloths from Appolonia Linen cascaded to the floor, while bistro tables and chairs created an inviting dining space. Using textured fabrics added depth and drama to the setup. Monannie Cakes crafted a show-stopping wedding cake adorned with a delicate sugar bow and intricate sugar flowers. The cake stood as a true reflection of artistry and precision, echoing the editorial’s overall aesthetic.

The final touch came from the apple trees surrounding the manor. Harvested apples were incorporated into the decor, reminiscent of Dutch Masters paintings, adding a rustic yet refined charm. Captured through the lens of Flora and Grace, these thoughtful details created a timeless visual story where nature and artistry intertwined seamlessly.

The talented team crafted a shoot full of heart and creativity. One unforgettable moment came when, in a burst of spontaneity, the team gathered around the model to form a floral circle, making her appear like a flower fairy, ethereal and delicate. This last-minute decision brought a sense of magic and a spark of joy that perfectly captured the essence of the day.
