Vintage Elegance and Timeless Charm

Dartmouth House, located in Mayfair, London, became the ideal setting for the Charlotte Wise Photography Workshop. Built in the mid-18th century, the house boasts a series of stunning rooms, each more impressive than the last. The grand marble staircase and intricately painted ceiling by Pierre-Victor Galland will leave a lasting impression on any wedding guest. With beautiful high ceilings featuring rococo details throughout and a charming marble courtyard suitable for outdoor ceremonies or dinner receptions, Dartmouth House provides a romantic and historical backdrop for couples tying the knot.

The gown and bridal veil were designed by Mara Marie Bridal, drawing inspiration from the elegance of the townhouse and wedding trends of the 50s and 60s to create a regal gown. The traditional silhouette featured a 5m tulle train and a long-sleeve lace bodice adorned with intricate detailing achieved by layering two types of lace, a raschel, and bold 3D lace. Handmade covered buttons adorned the sleeve and the back of the gown. The gown was complemented by a raw edge cathedral-length veil by Mara Marie Bridal, blending into the train to create an ethereal look for the bride.

Hairstylist Samantha Stevenson fashioned an elegant bridal bun for Penelope, allowing the gown and her radiant makeup by Tara Sanger to shine. Tara created a soft, romantic makeup look, enhancing Penelope’s stunning eyes and luminous bronzed skin. The bride wore beautiful suede shoes from Emmy London, while the groom opted for a classic black tux from Menswearr Suits paired with a silk bow tie and patent black shoes.

The workshop drew inspiration from 50’s and 60’s fashion, featuring tulle ball gowns, classic silhouettes, and lace long sleeves. Dartmouth House provided the perfect setting to bring this iconic vision to life. The florals, designed by Fiona Fleur Studio, reflected the warm color palettes of the ’50sand ’60s with hues of blush, dusty peach, sandalwood, rosewood red, and creamy ivory. The stunning bouquet and flower arrangements created a beautiful contrast against the ivory bridal gown and the vintage Mercedes car.

For the second look, Penelope changed into Mara Marie Bridal’s Athena gown, a stunning dress made from ostrich feathers and organza petals. The bodice was adorned with hand-sewn pearls and delicate tulle bow straps. The feathers added a beautiful sense of movement, especially when captured in the flash photography of the evening. Hairstylist styled Penelope’s hair in soft, playful curls to complement the ethereal gown. As for Sergio’s evening attire, he opted for a beige 3-piece suit, embracing a more casual look for the night.

Overall, the editorial captured the essence of a dreamy and unforgettable wedding celebration, where beauty, style, and love intertwined seamlessly.
