Spring Wedding Dreams with Close Friends in Tuscany

Featured Members

Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Villa Tenuta Corbinaia offered the ideal setting for this wedding editorial, which captured the region’s natural romance and timeless elegance. With its iconic cypress-lined avenues, soft hills, and ivy-covered architecture, the villa combined rustic charm with countryside luxury. The goal of this shoot was to showcase Tuscany’s enduring appeal while presenting a modern and joyful take on wedding celebrations.

Concept

The concept behind the shoot was to recreate the atmosphere of a real wedding filled with genuine emotion, movement, and joy. Rather than focusing on staged perfection, the team aimed to tell a story that felt alive—guests laughing over aperitivo, spontaneous hugs, and a couple fully immersed in their day. Each element, from the pastel color palette to the fireworks finale, was chosen to highlight Tuscany’s effortless beauty while celebrating the authenticity and elegance of a modern destination wedding.

Venue

Just a short drive from Florence, the Villa Tenuta Corbinaia offered the perfect blend of elegance and rustic charm. Surrounded by rolling hills and a cypress-lined driveway, the villa provided panoramic views and endless backdrops for both intimate and cinematic moments. Its ivy-covered stone architecture and manicured gardens added depth and texture to every frame, while the open spaces allowed the celebration to unfold naturally in the soft spring light.

“The villa effortlessly radiates countryside luxury.”

Bride's Morning

For the ceremony, the bride wore a refined off-shoulder satin dress from Honeymoon Sposa, featuring a pearl-embellished corset and softly draped neckline. A long cathedral veil flowed behind her, catching the Tuscan breeze as she moved through the garden. Delicate pleated tulle gloves added a vintage detail, while her Stuart Weitzman heels brought in a modern finish. Her makeup by Annita MUA was fresh and glowy, paired with soft waves that framed her face, creating a look that felt elegant yet natural.

After the ceremony, she walked through the gardens with her bridesmaids, laughing and enjoying the spring light. The bridesmaids wore soft sky-blue gowns in various silhouettes—one in a flowing one-shoulder satin dress, another in a strapless structured cut, and the third in a romantic draped style. The color matched the pastel florals and echoed the April sky, creating a gentle and cohesive palette that enhanced the relaxed and joyful mood of the day.

“A classic gown for the ceremony exuded timeless grace and a chic short dress paired with a sleek ponytail for the evening festivities offered both style and comfort.”

Groom's Fashion

The groom wore a white tuxedo jacket with black lapels, paired with classic black trousers and a bow tie—a look that balanced formal elegance with a crisp, modern touch. His style echoed the clean lines of the villa and stood out beautifully against the green Tuscan landscape, especially during the ceremony and champagne moments in the garden.

His groomsmen matched the sophisticated tone with black suits and white shirts, bowties for a more celebratory and classy look. Together, they brought a coordinated, timeless style that complemented the overall aesthetic without drawing attention away from the couple.

First Look

The couple shared their first look under the golden Tuscan light, with the villa’s stone façade and blooming gardens creating a naturally romantic frame. Captured by Olja Dietiker, this exchange became one of the most romantic scenes of the day—her ability to freeze real emotion, texture, and light in every frame added a cinematic depth that elevated the entire shoot.

“Our vision was to craft an editorial that highlighted the timeless charm of this breathtaking locale, and Villa Tenuta delivered in every way.”

Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by Tuscany’s hills and framed by the villa’s stone columns and wrought iron arches. The setting felt grand yet natural, with a soft breeze moving through the cypress trees. Rows of wooden chairs were arranged on the lawn, leading to a floral-lined aisle that felt effortlessly romantic. Petals scattered along the ground added a delicate touch beneath the couple’s feet.

The floral design by Amie Ziedi combined pastel blue hydrangeas, soft blush roses, and touches of lavender, arranged in loose, organic clusters. Instead of a traditional altar, two asymmetrical floral installations stood on either side of the couple, allowing the landscape to remain part of the backdrop. The palette reflected the season and added a refined, graceful mood to the ceremony space.

As the couple walked down the aisle together, guests tossed white rose petals into the air, filling the moment with movement and celebration. The music, laughter, and fresh spring air made the ceremony feel joyful and alive—exactly in line with the concept of a real, emotion-filled wedding.

Reception

After the ceremony, guests gathered by the pool for an alfresco reception surrounded by views of the Tuscan countryside. Mirrored tables were styled with rentals from Stilnolo, featuring soft linen runners, gold-edged glassware, and neutral-toned plates that allowed the setting to shine. The water of the pool reflected the warm tones of the sunset, adding a glow to the entire setup.

The aperitivo by Olivia Catering Events showcased fresh local ingredients in true Italian style. Platters of prosciutto, cheeses, olives, and handmade focaccia were followed by delicate desserts and mini fruit tarts, displayed near the pool. The open-air setting and long communal tables encouraged guests to mingle, toast, and savor the relaxed energy of the evening.

One of the most unforgettable moments came when one of the groomsmen proposed to a bridesmaid during the celebration, adding a second love story to the day. Cheers and happy tears followed, turning the reception into an even more emotional and joyful experience. Laughter echoed across the villa’s grounds as the sun dipped behind the hills, marking the start of an evening filled with genuine connection and celebration.

“From the laughter of guests to the clinking of glasses, every element was designed to capture the magic of a Tuscan wedding.”

Car Ride

Before sunset, the couple took a ride through the estate in a vintage white Alfa Romeo Spider, provided by Slow Hills. The drive offered a quiet escape and a chance to soak in the beauty of the moment together. Winding through olive groves and golden fields, they shared laughter and leaned into the breeze as the car moved along the cypress-lined road. Olja Dietiker captured the ride from both ground and above, using aerial shots to highlight the vast Tuscan landscape and give the moment a cinematic, dreamlike feel.

"Adding a cinematic flair, a retro car allowed the couple to explore the villa’s stunning surroundings."

Sweet Finale

As twilight settled over the villa, the couple gathered with their guests on the lawn for one of the most festive parts of the evening. They cut into a rustic wedding tart topped with fresh berries, a nod to the flavors of the region and the relaxed elegance of the day. With laughter and cheers surrounding them, the couple moved to the champagne tower—a stacked display of coupes ready to overflow with sparkling rosé.

The groom poured the first bottle, letting the bubbles cascade down while guests clapped and raised their glasses. Then came the final surprise: a dazzling fireworks show by Diego Fuochi d’Artificio lit up the night, marking the perfect end to a joyful celebration.

"This editorial isn’t just about a wedding—it’s a celebration of Tuscany’s enduring allure, where every moment feels like a page from a fairytale."
