Framed by the timeless architecture of Etienne Estate, this styled workshop hosted by Alyssa Lizarraga and planned and designed by Kristina of Viva Planning & Event Design, united a predominantly Latino team of Los Angeles creatives to explore the harmony between design, human connection, and celebration. Captured on both film and digital, the day paired old-world elegance with organic styling, highlighted by a draping installation that went viral for its striking design and transformative effect on the space.
"Inspired by the beautiful architecture of Ettienne estate and the essence of human connection."

Bridal Morning
The bride wore a strapless gown with a structured bodice and flowing skirt, its high slit adding ease to the refined silhouette. A long, sheer veil trailed behind, softening the clean lines of the dress. She paired the look with pointed ivory Jimmy Choo heels featuring a knotted detail, delicate diamond jewelry, and a statement ring. Her hair was styled in a relaxed updo with loose curls framing her face, and her makeup stayed luminous and natural, enhancing the elegance of the setting.
Ceremony
The ceremony unfolded on the estate’s stone terrace, framed by a cascading ivory drape installation, conceptualized and designed by Kristina of Viva Planning & Event Design and expertly executed by La Piñata Party Rentals, that created a soft architectural backdrop. Large, weathered urns sourced from Still Interiors and overflowing with white blooms, fresh greenery, and delicate flowering branches arranged by Petal Talk anchored each side, their organic shapes contrasting with the clean lines of the columns.
Additional arrangements lined the aisle and entry points, tying the setting together with a natural, garden-inspired feel. Guests were seated on wrought-iron chairs, and the warm tones of the building’s facade and surrounding greenery enhanced the intimate, old-world atmosphere.

Private Moment
The couple’s photo session unfolded around the estate’s grand exterior, where a vintage silver convertible became both a prop and a backdrop, adding movement and style to the portraits.
Alyssa Lizarraga captured each frame with an editorial eye, balancing the elegance of the architecture with intimate, unguarded moments between the pair. Her direction allowed for natural interactions while highlighting the gown’s fluid lines, the groom’s tailored look, and the soft light that wrapped around them. As the workshop’s host, she not only curated a setting rich in texture and detail but also created an atmosphere where every shot felt effortless yet intentional.
Cocktail Hour
The cocktail hour unfolded in the estate’s gardens, where guests mingled beneath the sun with paper parasols in hand and signature drinks in delicate glassware. The bar, adorned with loose garden blooms and a linen menu, offered a trio of curated cocktails by Liquid Courage — French 74, Boulevardier, and Mint Mojito. Tables and poolside pathways became gathering spots as trays of drinks caught the golden light, creating a scene that felt relaxed and artfully composed.
Decor & Setting
The reception table was styled as a feast for both the eyes and the senses, with BBJ La Tavola linens in a pale, paisley-inspired pattern setting a refined foundation. Handcrafted menus by Cat Lauren Calligraphy, penned on organic paper, added an artisanal, personal touch to each place setting. Low, footed bowls overflowed with white blooms by Petal Talk, their airy textures paired with loose greenery for an organic feel. Silver candelabras from Town & Country Event Rentals stood alongside tall glass cylinders holding flickering taper candles, adding layers of height and light.
Fresh peaches, cherries, figs, and clusters of grapes, curated by fruit and food stylist Sayang Market, were scattered along the table, intentionally featuring stone fruits and seasonal ingredients to evoke the richness and abundance of an old-world feast. The mix of fine crystal stemware, simple white place settings, and rustic artisan bread completed the balance of elegance and warmth.

Reception
As golden hour settled over the garden, guests gathered for an al fresco dinner at a long table, sharing toasts and passing cheese plates. The highlight came when the couple stepped to the champagne tower — a gleaming stack of crystal coupes accented with fresh lemons — and together poured the first cascade, their laughter carrying across the garden as guests raised their glasses in applause. This scene set a sparkling tone for the rest of the evening.
The celebration’s sweetest note came with the cake: a tall, modern design with textured floral embossing and sculpted fondant ruffles, crafted by Layered Cakes and Bakes. Set against the reflection of the pool, it was both centerpiece and artwork. The couple cut the first slice together, sharing a kiss before savoring the layers — a moment as elegant as it was joyful. With florals by Petal Talk framing the display, the cake-cutting felt like the perfect finale to an evening of beauty, laughter, and heartfelt connection.
"This old world style with organic styling and food was the inspiration for this intimate workshop."
