Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Lake Como, the historic Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni stands as a testament to timeless elegance and refined luxury. This exquisite destination, known for its enchanting surroundings and impeccable service, has hosted countless dream weddings. With its fairytale charm and picturesque landscapes, Villa Serbelloni sets the stage for an unforgettable wedding experience where couples can embrace the magic and create lifelong memories.

In the realm of weddings, the desire to create a truly unforgettable experience often leads couples to seek innovative ways to infuse their special day with unique touches. From unconventional fashion choices to creative ceremony backdrops, couples embrace the opportunity to break free from tradition and craft weddings that reflect their style and love story. This editorial explores two extraordinary elements: a floral handbag instead of a bouquet and a ladder adorned with flowers as a ceremony backdrop. The whimsical and unexpected floral decor choices epitomize the spirit of a fairy tale wedding while offering an enchanting twist.

This shoot has become a reality thanks to Jacob & Pauline, a well-known European wedding and editorial photographer and videographer duo. With a passion for capturing heartfelt love stories worldwide, their work is often praised for its elegance, timelessness, and poetic nature. A husband and wife team with over ten years of experience, numerous features in top wedding publications, and over 300 weddings, they are used to shooting in luxurious settings and expertly capturing intricate details. Jacob and Pauline have a keen eye for capturing beauty and fleeting moments in a subtle, intimate, and charming manner.

The blonde bride’s short, playful, and effortlessly voluminous curls, reminiscent of the evolving fashion trends of the 19th century, complement the opulence of the glowing golden decor. The trend shifted from elaborate powdered wigs to more delicate and ethereal curls during this era. To accentuate the overall look, Valeryia Beauty chose a vibrant red lip to add a touch of boldness to the no-makeup makeup look

The sheer embroidered lace adds a touch of glamour and sophistication to this unique Liz Martinez dress. It showcases the bride’s figure and accentuates her shoulders and décolletage. To let the dress take center stage, we opted for no accessories, allowing its beauty to shine brightly on its own.

As soon as one arrives at Villa Serbelloni, which was perfectly chosen for our shoot by the talented Italian team of Happy Moments Collector, it becomes apparent why it has captured the hearts of so many. Its grand architecture, adorned with frescoes, splendid chandeliers in Murano glass, intricate detailing, and luxurious furnishings, provides an opulent backdrop for a fairy tale wedding. Empire, Neoclassical, and Art Nouveau styles come together harmoniously, delighting and enchanting the guests.

During its 150-years history, the Villa has welcomed nobility and stars from all over the world to come to stay. Sir Winston Churchill, Roosevelt, the Rothschilds, J. F. Kennedy, Mary Pickford, Clark Gable, and Al Pacino are just a few of the prestigious guests who have walked the lounges and gardens by the lake.

The strapless mermaid gown by Peter Langner crafted from crinoline embroidered with cut-out guipure lace flowers, matched with a long cape embroidered with the same flowers, creates an exquisite fashion statement. The delicate tulle capelet allows elegant swirling and waving moments, adding charm, sophistication, and romance.

Bridal capes have emerged as a modern alternative to traditional wedding veils. Instead of being worn on the head, they gracefully drape over the shoulders and wedding dress. Whether adorned with embellishments throughout, featuring an elegant floor-length silhouette, or sporting a cropped capelet, bridal capes offer the same stylish qualities as veils while perfectly complementing various dress styles.

Soft makeup with peach blush and a slight trace of eyeliner on the corners of the eyelids complemented with a soft bun with loose strands of hair.

Incorporating a ladder into your wedding decor is a fantastic way to add a unique touch that can be customized to suit your theme, captivate your guests, and unleash your imagination. Regardless of the venue, this decor idea is versatile and will delight everyone with its creativity. A ladder can serve multiple purposes at your wedding, such as a drink station, a photo display, a dessert table, or even a substitute for a traditional wedding arch during the ceremony. Its charm is particularly accentuated when set against a picturesque natural backdrop. Take a glimpse at the beautifully adorned ladder by Lake Como Florist and get ready to be inspired!

Adorned with an array of large garden roses, vibrant bouquet roses, delicate pink peonies, airy baby’s breath, elegant eustoma, subtle dianthus, fragrant matiolla, and enchanting lilies, the ladder is transformed into a blooming garden. The scent fills the air, creating an atmosphere of celebration and making dreams come true. Saying “Yes!” amidst such a luxurious floral setting is truly a joyful occasion.

The corset bodice ballgown by Rita Vinieris, adorned with 3D embroidered lace and sequins, perfectly complemented the grandeur and delicacy of the staircase adorned with lush flowers. It created a truly romantic image and setting that was absolutely captivating.

This magnificent hotel stands at the end of the Bellagio promontory, with stunning views of Lake Como and the Alps.

As we considered ideas to create a unique and unconventional wedding experience, we went beyond the traditional ceremony arch and incorporated a flower ladder. But we also thought about enhancing and accessing the bride’s wedding day look with a special touch. That’s when we came up with a floral handbag instead of a traditional bouquet!

The bridal bouquet holds more significance than just being something for the bride to have as she walks down the aisle. It is a focal point that speaks volumes about the bride’s personality, character, and individual style. In this case, our bride opted for a floral handbag, adding a touch of deep fashion sensibility and creating a memorable fashion moment.

From April to November, Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni’s lounges, large lush gardens, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools enable guests to enjoy a holiday like the aristocrats of times gone by: far from the crowd, surrounded by every comfort imaginable and looking out over one of the most beautiful views in the world.

The Shanghai strapless sheath gown by Peter Langner is a stunning piece crafted from hand-embroidered tulle with a detachable cape with long sleeves and a train. Light and flowy fabrics give it a modern and refreshing appeal, while the intricate embroidery showcases the designer’s attention to detail. The gown seamlessly blends natural inspiration with the romantic luxury of its surroundings, creating a truly timeless look.
