After a long, grey winter, Teri V Photography dreamed of something joyful to welcome spring—bursting with life, color, and creativity. Inspired by the vibrant gardens of Hever Castle, she brought together a playful, romantic shoot filled with bold blooms, soft textures, and a fresh take on seasonal beauty.
Inspiration Behind the Shoot
Teri V Photography knew she needed a creative refresh. “I’d got all caught up with my wedding editing and wanted to do something for myself before the busy wedding season started up again.” After a long, gloomy winter, she was craving something light, joyful, and full of color—something that felt like spring.
She’d been connecting with some incredible wedding vendors and knew exactly who to call—starting with her stylist friend Miranda from Flutterby Events, who joined her for a coffee on a rainy February morning, where their ideas quickly blossomed into something magical.

Location
Hever Castle is legendary—“an absolute ICONIC historical masterpiece,” as the team put it. With over 600 years of history and famously known as Anne Boleyn’s childhood home, it’s a place steeped in stories. But for this shoot, it wasn’t the castle’s royal past that drew the team in. “We were only interested in the gardens,” they added.
When the team got the green light to shoot there, excitement was an understatement. “The whole theme for our shoot relied on the mix of colors and textures found in the gardens.” The team was happy with any flowers—“just as long as we had them in large quantities and a full mix of color.” And with Hever’s breathtaking blooms, they got exactly that.
Fashion Choices
Teri’s vision for the shoot really came to life the moment she discovered the dreamy gowns by Millia London. “They resonated with me as my mindset at the time was full of blooms, petals, flowers, and new buds.” It was the spark that set everything in motion—a celebration of springtime joy, wrapped in whimsy and vibrant color.
From there, the concept bloomed into something much deeper than a typical wedding-inspired editorial. The team was determined to infuse the shoot with “the happiness of fauna and flora and a mixture of contrasting colors.” That energy flowed into every creative detail, including the makeup & hair expertly done by Makeover Box.
The Garden of Blooms
The supplier team for this shoot was a total dream—each one fully embracing the “floral fantasy” vision and bringing color to the table in the most creative ways. Seasonal blooms took center stage, perfectly styled by Miranda of Flutterby Events. Her florals weren’t just decor—they were art.
The cake, crafted by Liz at Sylvia’s Cakes, was equally show-stopping. “She took her inspiration from the mood board I shared showing images of the dresses we were to hire from Millia London,” Teri said. The result was a beautifully sculpted dessert that looked too good to eat.
Meanwhile, Cat Creative added even more personality to the day with bold, colorful stationery. But she didn’t stop there—“creating menus & exquisite paper art that would give any bride inspiration for treating their guests.” Her origami touches brought a whimsical edge to the tablescapes, proving that creativity really was blooming in every detail.
