A Touch of Tuscan Romance

The editorial took place at the picturesque La Maison Des Oliviers, a home owned by a couple who wanted to bring the South of France to Southern California. “As soon as I stepped foot onto the property, I had a vision of what I wanted to create,” shared the planners at Wilde & Sage Co.

The words organic, romantic, and Italian frequently crossed the team’s minds throughout the planning journey. From the limoncello seating chart to the Piaggio Ape bar imported from Italy, every detail was meticulously planned to make it feel like a day in the Italian countryside.

The entire event was beautifully captured by the talented Lety Altam, who, with her unique editorial approach, crafted a compelling story of two lovebirds in the picturesque surroundings of the villa. Her photographs perfectly reflected the chosen theme, capturing not just the couple’s emotions, but also the meticulous details and decorations that brought the Italy-inspired styled shoot to life.

The bridal look was inspired by modern, clean, and minimal aesthetics. The dress featured a corset top with a V-neckline and a gathered skirt, making a striking yet subtle statement. The bride’s hair was styled in a low bun, keeping the focus on her natural beauty, which was further enhanced by soft makeup. The overall styling was simple and refined, highlighting the bride’s elegance. The garden setting and vintage-inspired details created a romantic atmosphere, perfect for capturing timeless wedding moments.

The venue featured a labyrinth where the couple enjoyed each other’s company, adding to the romantic ambiance of the day. The garden’s well-manicured hedges and a central fountain provided a picturesque backdrop for the couple’s strolls and tender moments.

Rows of light wooden chairs were set up on the lush green lawn in the ceremony space, leading to a simple white fabric backdrop hanging between two trees. The aisle was adorned with plenty of floral arrangements featuring blue, purple, and white flowers mixed with greenery to create a serene and natural ambiance.

The couple radiated happiness and elegance. Lety Altam beautifully captured their genuine emotions throughout the styled shoot, making those moments even more special and memorable.

A stunning wedding setup featured intricate details, including a long dining table placed elegantly by the pool. The table was adorned with stylish linens, simple décor, and a variety of spring flowers in soft white and pastel colors. It was set with white plates, beige napkins, gold utensils, and clear glassware, accented by floral displays that included natural elements like fresh fruit.

The wedding scene was beautifully decorated with a focus on organic and romantic elements. Linen signage saying “Cello There! Please find your seat,” featuring lemon illustrations, set a fresh and inviting atmosphere. Bottles of limoncello with personalized tags were neatly displayed on wooden shelves to serve as both decorations and place cards.

A wedding cake adorned with grapes and figs sat on a table, complemented by elegant candles and glassware, creating a rustic yet refined look. Nearby, a bar under a white umbrella boasted a floral arrangement with hints of blue and lavender, enhancing the springtime vibe of the decor. The bar was well-stocked with various drinks and garnishes, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

A unique Piaggio Ape bar ready to serve drinks added to the Italian countryside feel, while a harpist in a flowing dress provided live music, contributing to the enchanting ambiance of the event.

The rain was both the most challenging and the most romantic part of the day. The planners shared, “I’d say the rain was a challenge, but I love it. Rain is just something that happens at weddings. You can’t control Mother Nature, but when couples embrace it, it makes everything worthwhile. It might not be in everyone’s plans, but when you make the best of it, it’s truly beautiful.”

Lety Altam captured all this rainy day charm perfectly, highlighting the unexpected romance of the moment.

The team thoroughly enjoyed the shoot, capturing the essence of an Italian garden while adding a modern wedding aesthetic. They seamlessly blended traditional Italian charm with contemporary wedding trends. Spring florals, minimalistic decor, organic elements, and sleek fashion brought a fresh twist to the timeless setting.

This styled shoot would inspire couples who want to combine classic and modern elements.
