The project began as a creative collaboration among female talents from various segments of the wedding industry. Anastasia, known for her keen eye and ability to capture the essence of her subjects, set out to create images that would resonate with energy, freedom, and the light-hearted spirit of the modern bride. Anastasia explains the choice of the urban setting as a reflection of the couple’s narrative. “We wanted to convey their story through images that felt real and vibrant, pictures that you look at and immediately feel the love and joy they share,” she says. This approach is evident in shots where the couple dashes across city streets, exchanges whispers among Gothic columns or steals a kiss with the tram whizzing by.

The choice of dresses from Aston Bridal, designed by the talented Miranda, adds an extra layer of intimacy and personal touch to the shoot. Miranda, who modeled her designs alongside her husband, shares, “I designed my dresses, and seeing it come to life and through the photos was incredible.” The collection features both mini and flowing long dresses, catering to brides who value style, comfort, and a hint of rebellion against traditional norms.

Claire Jamieson, the makeup and hair stylist, focused on soft, effortless waves and makeup in soft pink and neutral tones that accentuated the bride’s features without overpowering them. “Our collaboration is about highlighting effortless beauty,” Claire stated. The flexible hair styling allowed for changes throughout the shoot, adapting to different looks to showcase the earrings and overall style.

Claire added, “Working with the team was a truly enriching experience, combining professionalism with creativity.” This approach kept the bride’s appearance stunning and natural, complementing the urban elegance of the photoshoot.

The floral arrangements by Solasta Blooms added a whimsical and vibrant touch to the scenes. The florist designed two distinct bouquet styles using the seasonal amaranthus to give them length and dimension. One bouquet had the classic burgundy anthurium, which created a timeless and moody look for the city setting, and the other had a dreamy pastel purple orchid complimented by a hand-selected waterlily and seasonal chamomile. “We wanted the bouquets to be minimal, dreamy, fun as well as well as impactful,” the florist remarks.

Reflecting on the shoot, Anastasia praises the synergy and creativity of the all-female team. “It’s the energy and mutual support that truly brings such projects to life. Everyone brings their expertise and unique style, but it’s our shared vision that creates something truly special,” she states. Despite challenges like last-minute changes and city weather, the team’s passion and dedication shone through, proving that true artistry thrives on spontaneity and collaboration.
