Love is a timeless force that brings people together, inspiring creativity and connection. For this creative project, photographer Julia at Juno Photo and the team envisioned a collaboration across the Atlantic, all the way to the beautiful Eastern Townships of Canada, at the stunning Manoir Maplewood. The goal was to create something unique and inspiring, a perfect blend of modern aesthetics with timeless elegance.
Vision & Photography
The inspiration for this editorial came from a white and red fabric printed with a hummingbird and stylized flowers, blending springtime freshness with passionate elegance, reminiscent of a chic countryside dinner in the 19th century. Drawing from the film A Sunday in the Country, the vision was expertly brought to life by the planners at On Dirait Les Sud Events.
The photographer, Julia of Juno Photo, masterfully captured this vibrant editorial, infusing every shot with rich color and dynamic energy. Her keen eye for detail brought each moment to life, highlighting the day’s striking contrasts and delicate beauty. She beautifully preserved the essence of the event—both bold and timeless.
Fashion
For the bridal look, the vision was to strike the perfect balance between modernity and timeless elegance. The bride’s dress by Rime Arodaky effortlessly combined classic curves and French lace with a contemporary corset design, creating a refined and fresh look. The hair and makeup embraced a classic aesthetic, while bold touches like striking red lips and nails added a modern twist that perfectly complemented the bride’s personality and the overall color palette.
The bride’s unique red shoes with a playful heart-shaped design were a standout detail, bringing a sophisticated yet fun edge to the entire look.
The Ceremony
The ceremony space was filled with vibrant colors and beautiful details, setting the perfect tone for the day. The design came together to create a suspended, timeless atmosphere, as though the entire moment was frozen in a celebration of love.
The floral arrangements came to life through a collaboration with the talented team at Atelier Carmel, whose artistic vision perfectly aligned with the design. Striking anthuriums and tulips, with their bold graphic aesthetic, became the centerpiece of the arrangement. These vibrant blooms were complemented by the delicate beauty of fuchsia orchids, adding a refined touch that captured the poetic spirit of the overall vision.
The Reception & Decor
The majestic architecture of the venue added a beautiful backdrop to the refined and harmonious decor of the dinner tables. From the moment the team began planning, the tableware from Anthropologie captured their imagination. Deep purple linens from elevated the interplay of white and orange-red hues against the hummingbird-patterned tablecloths. Custom stationery by Kaligrafia tied together the floral and fruit-inspired elements, creating a seamless and stunning aesthetic.
The couple savored a delightful heart-shaped cake, a sweet symbol of their love, created by the talented team at Henriette Desserts.
Into the Night
The bride embraced a second look that exuded elegance and freedom for the evening celebration, wearing a stunning backless gown by Grace Loves Lace. With its lightweight, second-skin feel, the gown allowed her to move with ease, dance the night away, and still radiate glamour.
