A Dreamy Parisian Elopement Beneath a Cotton Candy Sunset

Who doesn’t dream about having their wedding in the famously romantic City of Light? “Paris is always a good idea!” It is one of Audrey Hepburn’s famous and very true quotes,” said Carmen from the wedding planning company Devoted to You. She and Corina from Corina V. Photography decided to create an inspirational wedding elopement in Paris. They chose a “Classic with a Modern Twist” theme for a young couple in love.

The custom stationery set designed by Paula Lee Calligraphy featured neutral shades of white and taupe, with hand-calligraphed addresses on the envelopes. Paula chose vellum paper for its mysterious charm, wrapping the invitations and using it as the envelope liner. She introduced soft blush tones using a silk ribbon, and the invitation itself showcased a delicate greenery-inspired motif around the borders. The oval menus, highlighted with gold accents and elegant tassels, became statement pieces. A fabric welcome sign, echoing the greenery motif, added a unique, textural, and ethereal touch. The vow books, letterpress printed on decadent handmade paper and tied with the same silk ribbon, completed the ensemble. Each detail harmonized with Paris’s enchanting atmosphere.

The bride prepared for her day with the assistance of Onorina Jomir‘s team, who crafted a fresh and classic look with dramatic eye makeup and simple hair. Her elegance was further enhanced by Chanel pearl drop earrings.

For the couple’s portraits around the City of Paris, the bride chose a Lisa Van Hattem gown that perfectly blended modern and romantic elements for a quintessentially Parisian look. This gown was crafted from Mikado fabric to create a tailored yet soft drape. It featured a beautifully ruched bodice with hand-sewn pearl details on the neckline and straps. The skirt was designed with a pleated A-line cut, functional pockets, and a side slit to reveal legs elegantly. The ensemble was completed with a scattered pearl veil and Bella Belle shoes accented with elegant pearls and rhinestone leaves.

The bride’s bouquet was a delicate composition of white peonies and calla lilies, accented with slender greenery and tied with a chic ribbon, highlighting her graceful attire.

The groom chose a classic custom bow tie created by House of Tytan that added a touch of dignified style. The boutonniere, a single ivory bloom complemented by baby’s breath and a hint of greenery, was elegantly secured to his lapel with a taupe ribbon, matching his midnight blue suite.

For the ceremony, the bride wore a vintage-inspired cocktail-length gown by Lisa Van Hattem, featuring a circle skirt and a boat neckline that elegantly transitioned to an open back. The dress was crafted from intricately embellished lace, complete with cording, embroidery, and beading, embodying timeless vintage charm.

The reception’s setting details white scalloped edge plates with subtle leaf branch-motif glasses and pearl handle cutlery. Sitting on top of each place setting was a thoughtful and delectable favor—an adorable jar of hand-crafted gourmet citron jam by local Emelby Gourmet.

Susan Murray’s custom table linen featured a new lattice-style fabric in a soft blush shade that reflected the essence of the garden. The small, delicate pattern added just enough texture to the table without being overpowering.

The bespoke wedding cake by Nadia & Co. was inspired by the Old World limestone buildings of Paris. The delicate sugar shapes and gilded leaf branches adorned the cake, and soft baby’s breath flowers skirted the base.

For the evening, the bride wore elegant separates from Catherine Langlois‘ “Wild Honey Two” collection, designed for either pre- or post-wedding celebrations. She chose the “Mel Ruffled Skirt,” a knee-length piece in off-white Faille material, paired with the “Cassie Tiered Tulle Skirt” made from delicate dotted tulle adorned with pearl buttons up the back, enhancing its vintage charm. The ensemble was completed with the “Buffy Topper,” crafted from celestial beaded tulle.

The happy newlyweds danced into the evening on the rooftops of Paris against a backdrop of a dreamy cotton candy pink cloud sunset and the sparkling Eiffel Tower.
