Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about celebrations in pop culture. With the singer-songwriter’s signature flair for storytelling and her whirlwind romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, speculation about how their big day might unfold has taken on a life of its own. To imagine what such a wedding could look like, we turned to Beth Helmstetter, Founder & Creative Director of Beth Helmstetter Events. Renowned for creating celebrations that balance intimacy, beauty, and meaning, Beth offers her detailed vision and thoughtful approach for Taylor and Travis.

Based on what we know about them as individuals and as a couple, how would you make their wedding special and unique?
Taylor and Travis are the perfect study in contrasts: poet and athlete, English teacher and gym teacher, as her playful caption suggested. To honor that duality, I’d imagine a wedding that feels like chapters in a love story rather than a single event. Perhaps it begins with a quiet, intimate legal ceremony kept just for them. Later, a weekend of gatherings, each with its own mood and meaning. A heartfelt ceremony, candlelit dinners that feel cinematic, an after-party with the pulse of a stadium, and even a casual, family-only gathering that’s purely joyful. Structured this way, their wedding would unfold like one of Taylor’s albums, worlds within worlds, stories within stories.
Where do you think the event might be held?
Rather than the expected destination or hotel buyout, I’d imagine something closer to home such as her residence in Nashville. It’s where so much of her creativity has lived, and it offers the privacy they’d need to make the space entirely their own. Hosting there would allow the celebration to feel both deeply personal and expansive, grounding the weekend in her story while giving them freedom to create something that feels one-of-a-kind.

What special touches would you suggest including?
Whenever I design a wedding, I think about how it will feel for every guest who walks through the door. For Taylor and Travis, I’d imagine thoughtful layers—details that reflect who they are while also making their loved ones feel cared for.
For Travis, the touches would lean playful and communal. A marching band leading guests into the after-party, late-night snacks reminiscent of stadium favorites, or even a halftime-style surprise moment that gets everyone laughing. These small gestures bring balance—reminding everyone that while the setting may be beautiful, at its core the weekend is about connection and joy.
For Taylor, perhaps numerology guides subtle choices like table numbers, floral counts, or even the timing of the ceremony. I could see her adding something tactile, like embroidered napkins or handkerchiefs at each place setting—a small, personal touch that feels like a keepsake. A planetarium-inspired structure over dinner that reveals constellations as the night deepens would be a quiet nod to her love of the stars. Nostalgia would likely play a role as well. A winter wedding could tie back to her roots on a Christmas tree farm—cozy, inviting, and perfectly aligned with the end of the NFL season.

What would you do about security and paparazzi?
A wedding of this scale is nearly a state event. Hosting at her Nashville home offers built-in privacy, with acreage and natural barriers, but I’d also layer in discreet measures such as NDAs, no-phone policies, decoy shuttles or even a decoy wedding elsewhere such as Italy or Los Angeles. The intent isn’t secrecy for secrecy’s sake. It’s to create a cocoon where the couple and their guests can feel fully present.
What food would you suggest be served?
Food is one of the most intimate ways to tell a couple’s story. For Taylor and Travis, I’d imagine a menu inspired by family traditions, reimagined with refinement. Approachable but thoughtful. Dessert could be a highlight. Rather than a one-tiered cake, I’d picture a nostalgic table filled with personality. Perhaps Taylor’s homemade Pop-Tarts, pies, cobblers, and soft-serve alongside more classic wedding favorites. A spread that feels playful, inviting, and uniquely theirs.
Who could provide the perfect entertainment?
I’d imagine a lineup that feels almost like a festival. Layered, nostalgic, and spanning generations. Stevie Nicks or James Taylor could bring a sense of timelessness. A throwback act from the early 2000s would add a moment of fun nostalgia, and then a contemporary powerhouse could close the night with energy. Given their joy singing “I Believe in a Thing Called Love,” I’d expect at least one playful performance that doesn’t take itself too seriously, reminding guests that even at the most beautiful wedding, the heart of it is joy.

Editor’s Note: Taylor Swift has often cited Stevie Nicks as one of her biggest musical inspirations. Their connection goes beyond influence—Taylor has covered Fleetwood Mac songs, performed with Stevie, and even written songs inspired by her. In her turn, in a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, Nicks expressed admiration for Swift, describing her as “really smart” and noting that she is “in a good place right now.” Nicks also mentioned a gold bracelet engraved with “TTPD” (representing Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department) that Swift gifted her, which Nicks has worn for nearly a year. She also told People that she sees everything in her. “When I look at her, it’s like she’s my whole life from beginning to now. When I look at her, all the memories are all there.”
Additionally, Nicks shared her hope that Swift and her partner, Travis Kelce, “fall deeper and deeper in love and ride off into the sunset,” wishing them a future together that could include marriage and children if Swift desires.
