TOP 10 Designers presented at NYBFW

New York City dedicated a whole week to highlight the continuous work of several brands and designers around the world that show the diversity of trends and the beautiful work behind every collection of the most talented people in this segment of the fashion industry. Here are our favorite Fall 2023 collections.

The Claire Pettibone collection embodies the designer’s pioneering vision of effortless style and luxurious detailing infused with an enchanted spirit. Monique Lhuillier is internationally recognized as one of America’s foremost designers. Established in 1996 by Monique Lhuillier and her husband Tom Bugbee, the company is one of the leading fashion houses in design, quality and creativity. With a passion for creating collections that are both feminine and modern. Monique Lhuillier designs capture the essence of sophisticated luxury by provoking femininity, allure and glamor that have made her renowned in the world of design. Monique’s innate sense of style is prevalent throughout her ready-to-wear, accessories and bridal collections. Bridal wear features luxe fabrics, textures and exquisite construction.

Milla Nova is a female-led independent Ukrainian bridal brand founded by sisters Zoryana and Iryna Senyshyn. For the past 20 years, the company strives to help make every bride’s special day truly special. The company believes that love and happiness have no limits in age, gender or size and recognise each and everyone’s personal style and needs. Presented in 50 countries around the world with 1000 employees, 95% of which are women. The brand takes into account the needs of its employees and does everything to provide the most comfortable working conditions.

Born in 1995, Korean-American designer Andrew Kwon established his eponymous label in 2020 based in New York City. It was a flourishing and fanciful thesis collection that garnered Kwon attention, earning him a spot as a finalist in the Supima Design competition. The release of his first and second official collections in 2021 grabbed the attention from editors and writers globally and led to an exclusive profile with Forbes and The NY Times. Kwon’s design aesthetic empowers women highlighting the strength and beauty of nature. Each collection takes cues from Kwon’s surroundings and builds upon this concept with femininity. Bridging the ethereal with the everyday, Kwon’s debut collection in 2021 pushes the boundaries of couture craftsmanship with modern practicality.

Ines Di Santo is an internationally renowned bridal gown and evening wear designer. Being a romantic, Ines has built her brand by infusing every wedding gown with the essence of her passion for beauty, love, and desire.Fueled by the eternal fantasy of the ‘perfect’ wedding gown, Ines Di Santo bridal gowns are a modern interpretation of classic couture techniques, exquisitely handcrafted embroideries, and the finest European fabrics. Inspired by her upbringing in beautiful Buenos Aires, Ines connected to the romance of the art world as a young woman and went on to study fine art and design in Argentina and Italy. Ines Di Santo’s signature designs reflect the individuality and beauty of every bride she works with. Everything from her fabrics to her fittings, centers on a passion for quality. Nadia was born and raised in Mexico in the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa. As one of four children, her mother often designed and sewed the clothes for her and her siblings. Teaching Nadia how to sew at the age of six, sparked her interest in fashion, although it wasn’t at first she  realized she could turn her hobby of making doll clothes into a design career.

Nadia pursued an education in fashion and received a degree in Fashion and Textile Design from the University of Monterrey. Today Nadia serves as the founder and CEO of Nadia Manjarrez Studio Bridal, a Mexican-based bridal atelier that offers versatile, modular, and customizable gowns that seamlessly transition the bride from ceremony to reception. Seeking to empower women in her community, Nadia exclusively employs Mexican female heads of households to make each one of her beautiful designs.

Sally Lapointe is a visual artist who creates to empower. She is unapologetic in her belief of individuality and is not afraid to make a statement. And that is shown in her bold and magnificent bridal designs.

A Black-owned business headquartered in New York City with a salon on Madison Avenue, the house produces incredibly  beautiful collections. The Amsale Group is one of the world’s leading luxury bridal houses. Each design is delicately handcrafted using couture dressmaking techniques in AMSALE’s New York City atelier. The pieces exude modern femininity, unstated glamour and attention to detail—and each beautifully mirrors its bride’s unique personal style.

Katharine Polk has been designing Women’s Evening-wear and Couture Bridal since she graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from FIDM in Los Angeles. Polk has designed iconic wedding looks for Ashlee Simpon and Evan Ross, Nicole Trunfio and dressed red carpet VIP’s like Lily Collins, Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber, Kylie jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kate Hudson, Carmen Egojo, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lopez, Melanie Lynskey and many more. They work brides on custom looks for every event of their wedding from sketch to final garment and the results are fascinating.
