The Art of Black and White in Blanc Wear’s New Collection

Blanc Wear is a brand that embraces femininity, individuality, and confidence and creates dresses for women who are unapologetically themselves. The brand, founded by designer Sarah Bruylant, features gowns handcrafted in Amsterdam using the finest fabrics sourced from France, reflecting Sarah’s meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.

The brand’s latest collection is a masterful exploration of minimalist elegance fused with avant-garde elements, manifesting in a series of gowns that are as much art as fashion. The aesthetic of this collection walks the line between ethereal softness and bold modernity. These designs are perfect for the bride who seeks a distinctive look that combines contemporary aesthetics with timeless grace.

While the collection leans into minimalist design, it does not shy away from making a maximal impact through well-placed details. The gowns feature understated yet powerful elements such as asymmetrical drapes, oversized floral motifs, and meticulously crafted folds that draw the eye and create a memorable silhouette without overwhelming the wearer.

The silhouettes are architectural, with clean lines and innovative structures that evoke a sense of modern elegance. High-quality silks, mikado, and taffeta are carefully manipulated to create folds, pleats, and ruching that elevate the gowns beyond traditional bridal wear.

Photographed by the talented Shari Ruzzi, the images highlight the collection’s sculptural and textural beauty in monochromatic compositions that feel timeless and avant-garde. The shoot took place in a minimalist studio, with stark backdrops that allowed the gowns to take center stage. The choice of black and white photography emphasized the collection’s intricate details and luxurious fabrics, creating a striking contrast between light and shadow.

Stylist Emmanuelle Bastiaenssen, who also provided makeup and hair styling for the shoot, curated each look to complement the clean lines and modern elegance of the gowns. Emmanuelle’s approach to styling focused on enhancing the inherent sophistication of the dresses, using sleek, understated hair and makeup to maintain a refined aesthetic.

The talent for the shoot included the stunning Christelle, represented by Run Model Management, whose graceful poses and expressive movements perfectly conveyed the collection’s balance of boldness and femininity. Christelle’s natural poise and elegance brought a dynamic energy to each shot, further amplifying the collection’s distinctive character.
