Have you ever imagined what your dream proposal would look like? Let us share the story of a stunning couple, Ashley and Spencer. They were on their way to Europe for a planned family trip when Spencer decided to surprise Ashley. He contacted the event planners at Honey + Thyme Events, whom they had worked with before during a styled shoot. The planners then contacted Ashley, pretending to plan another shoot while in Paris for a wedding. Excitedly, Ashley agreed to model and got ready at The Ritz while the planners and their florist, Vanda Bleu, prepared the proposal spot at the Monument à Luis de Camoes.
The team understood the importance of creating a breathtaking moment to truly mark the beginning of this new chapter on the first day of the year. The majestic Eiffel Tower served as a picturesque backdrop. As Ashley and Spencer approached the setup, Ashley’s son Ryser walked up the stairs with them. “It really was a moment none of us will forget,” shared the planners.
Ashley, guided by the planners’ vision for the ‘styled shoot,’ found the perfect outfit. The fur shawl perfectly fit the setting, as it was a chilly day. Spencer kept it sleek and chic in a monochromatic black look.
Ashley has a keen design sense and is naturally drawn toward neutrals. To create a truly breathtaking setup for the proposal, the talented florist Vanda Bleu designed a stunning floral arrangement that made this day even more memorable: “The request looked like a desire to create a graceful, elegant composition. Therefore, gypsophila (or baby’s breath) was chosen as the base flower for this installation. When gypsophila flowers are collected simply and in large quantities to form various wedding floral decorations, they can create a wonderful feeling, as if you see a mass of clouds in front of your eyes: light, romantic, soft and airy,” – shares Elena, the founder of Vanda Blue.
Another special moment during the proposal was when Spencer shared with Ashley immediately after the proposal that they would be heading to the Seven Sisters Cliffs in just three days for an intimate elopement. It was a dream come true for this lovely couple.
