Built in the XIIIth century, the château de Méridon will first serve as a wildlife preserve to King Louis XV. It will then become the treasured hunting fief of the highest members of French aristocracy. From the 1900's on, the château will see a diversity of owners and tenants starting with Henry White, the American ambassador in France.
