Catherwood

Since 2007, Catherwood has been dedicated to restoring and sharing some of Yucatán's most remarkable historic properties. Its collection of private haciendas and historic homes brings together exceptional art and architecture, where the past meets the sophistication of the present. Deeply connected to the land and the living Maya culture, each property holds a distinct character, atmosphere, and story — privately held, thoughtfully preserved, and unlike anywhere else in Mexico.

Hacienda Tekik de Regil is among Yucatán's oldest haciendas, reimagined in the early 20th century by Italian architect Pio Piacentini. Expansive gardens, a neoclassical chapel, an engine house, elegant suites, and murals by Yucatecan artist Calocho Millet make it an exceptional setting for grand celebrations.

Hacienda Itzincab de Cámara sits on an ancient Maya settlement just outside Mérida and has welcomed gatherings for centuries. Centered around a centuries-old Maya pyramid, the estate offers fourteen suites, three pools, lush gardens, and a kitchen garden — a place where guests stay, reconnect, and experience Yucatán together.

Hacienda San Pedro Ochil carries the Maya presence in every layer: from ancient ceremonial structures to a sacred cenote at the heart of the estate. Its centerpiece is James Turrell's monumental amphitheater, where art, heritage, and landscape come together in one unforgettable experience.

Hacienda Tamchen, originally a 17th-century property, is one of Yucatán's most distinctive settings for intimate celebrations. Lily ponds, reflecting pools, historic buildings, and two contemporary villas create an atmosphere defined by simplicity, water, and calm.
