Shaun Rajah is a Chicago-based wedding and event planner with over twenty years of experience in luxury hospitality and event production. Originally from Malaysia, he grew up surrounded by a strong culture of hosting and service, which still shapes how he works today. He has been based in the United States for more than 25 years. He spent 16 years at The Drake Hotel in Chicago and later worked at The Langham, building a solid background in large-scale weddings and high-level service. That experience shows in how he thinks through timing, flow, and the overall guest experience.
Shaun’s approach is thoughtful and grounded. Each wedding starts from scratch and develops through close collaboration with the couple. He doesn’t rely on set formulas. Instead, he focuses on creating something that feels natural to the people and the setting.
His work has been featured in Brides, People, Modern Luxury, and Carats & Cake. Today, he is known for a clear point of view, strong attention to detail, and an ability to bring everything together in a way that feels smooth and considered.
