"When I shoot, I always think how my couple will look good in the photos. My brides are my source of inspiration, and I like to bring out their inherent beauty and femininity."
During the 20+ years of his career, Vangelis has always pushed the boundaries to create authentically elegant, emotionally charged images with a perfect balance between candid and artistically directed portraits.
Starting from a very young age and after spending countless hours in the darkroom processing his films, he received a scholarship from the Greek Ministry of Culture to study photography, and what started as a passion evolved into a profession.
Inspired by his workshops with legendary documentary photographers Josef Koudelka and Konstantinos Manos from Magnum Agency, as well as fashion photographers Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, and Herb Ritts, his wedding photography style is a distinct fusion of editorial and photojournalism with timeless aesthetics. Edward Weston's use of forms in his photos also greatly impacted Vangelis' work on the human body as a young student, which is evident in his boudoir and fine art nude photography portfolio nowadays.
His vast experience and artistic nature allowed him to rise to international status, capture high-end private events in more than 15 different countries, and be published in several leading wedding magazines, including Brides, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar.
