Slow Picture Studio is the photography duo of Agnese and Cristina. Their collaboration began one morning over breakfast in a small bar in Trastevere, but their connection started earlier, at photography school, where both friendship and a shared way of seeing the world took shape. From the beginning, they set a few simple rules for themselves: to work with discretion, to approach every moment with respect, and to never lose the joy of creating, often accompanied by carefully curated playlists for their travels.
They work with both digital and analog photography, allowing precision and spontaneity to coexist. Their visual language grew through long hours spent studying the work of Luigi Ghirri, whose soft colors and expansive spaces continue to influence their gaze. From Rinko Kawauchi, they learned to pay close attention to atmosphere and emotion, while family photo albums taught them the quiet power of memory. That sense of memory, intimate and poetic, sits at the core of their work.
Human connection remains central to everything they do. On a wedding day, Agnese and Cristina move with a quiet, attentive presence, never intrusive, allowing moments to happen on their own. They are drawn to gestures, glances, and emotions rather than perfection, believing these are the details worth preserving. For them, photography is not a service, but an encounter built on trust.
