Miguel Ponte is an international destination wedding photographer based on Madeira Island, one of the world’s most breathtaking wedding destinations. Madeira and its sister island, Porto Santo, provide magical backdrops—from turquoise oceans to misty forests and dramatic mountain peaks. While Madeira is home, his passion for storytelling has taken him far beyond, allowing him to document weddings across Portugal, including Lisbon, Douro Valley, Algarve, and the Azores, as well as in iconic locations such as Tuscany, the Greek Isles, Venice, and the French Riviera.
With a background in psychology and photography, Miguel blends emotional insight with artistic vision to create meaningful, authentic images. Since 2014, he has photographed over 250 weddings and several hundred portrait sessions, developing a signature style that combines candid storytelling, editorial artistry, and a touch of epic landscape photography.
