Alexandra and Andrei are the founders of Mezzinoi Studio, a husband and wife creative duo based between Paris and Bucharest. Photography brought them together long before it became their profession — a shared passion that grew into both a life partnership and an artistic journey spanning more than 13 years.
Growing up colorblind shaped Andrei's entire relationship with the medium. As a child, he found his artistic voice through charcoal and black-and-white portraiture. Even today, he begins every wedding in black and white through his viewfinder, letting color reveal itself slowly during editing — almost like an analogue print emerging in a darkroom. For him, black and white is not a style. It is the foundation of how he understands light, emotion, and composition.
Alexandra brings the human connection that completes this instinct. Where Andrei is drawn to composition and visual exploration, Alexandra creates the trust and atmosphere that allow genuine moments to happen — noticing the emotions, relationships, and small interactions that often become the most meaningful photographs.
Before discussing schedules or logistics, one of their first questions for every couple is: "What are you wearing?" Because for Mezzinoi, every story begins with identity.
Over the years, their work has been featured in Amber & Muse, Ruffled Blog, and other international publications, and has taken them into extraordinary environments: from intimate family moments to royal celebrations, including members of a princess's family and the Swarovski family.
