Flor Caballero is a floral design studio founded by Flor Maldonado, a Mexico-born creative raised between the Bay Area and Zihuatanejo. She grew up between carefully designed spaces and natural landscapes, which sparked a lasting appreciation for beauty and the feeling it can create.
Her path to floral design came through years of creative exploration, from digital communications to production roles in the design and architecture world. In 2016, while planning an event for a florist client, Flor discovered a new language of expression: refined, organic, and rooted in emotion. Flowers felt like a natural extension of everything she valued. By 2018, she launched her own studio: Flor Caballero, named in honor of her late grandmother, whose legacy of love and family continues to guide her work.
Flor’s style is thoughtful, textural, and deeply personal. She believes that weddings are about more than aesthetics—they’re about the couple and the people closest to them, and the story they’re building together. Her goal is always to reflect that connection in every floral detail.
