Violet & Salt

Alaina’s journey began from a young age and it was a sweet one.  She fell in love with painting, baking and creating with her hands. Later, developing a love for fine patisserie, Alaina worked on recipe testing and development. She established herself in the baking industry where she got to marry her love of baking and art to create what Violet & Salt is today - edible art.

Violet & Salt is an artisan dessert studio based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  "To create cakes and desserts that taste even better than they look" - is their philosophy. At Violet & Salt, just as much time and focus goes into  flavour combinations as it does into the design process and creation of your bespoke cakes and desserts. Contemporary unique designs and bold use of colour is paired with well-developed recipes for an unparalleled taste and beautiful aesthetic. Textured, modern and whimsical application with the addition of florals and luxe embellishments with a thoughtful design to finish is what makes the cakes special.
