Quinn, originally from New York City, has a diverse background, including achievements in gymnastics, a successful career as a decathlete at Stanford, and a passion for photography. Currently, he is pursuing a career in psychiatry. Sana, an energetic and ambitious entrepreneur from New Orleans, followed her academic pursuits in law before founding Naaz, a flourishing boutique. Their paths crossed when Quinn began photographing for Sana’s business in search of a creative outlet during his medical studies. This collaboration sparked their connection, gradually becoming a deep and meaningful love.
The couple’s wedding vision was a celebration that honored their cultures and shared values. Selecting the Orpheum Theatre and the New Orleans Museum of Art as their venues, they planned a vibrant Pakistani wedding infused with the essence of Southern hospitality.
Inspired by the rich traditions of Pakistani weddings and the warmth of Southern hospitality, Sana and Quinn’s wedding was a vivid, joyous affair. The bride’s vision materialized into a deeply traditional ceremony yet uniquely theirs, showcasing the beauty of their combined heritages.
The wedding celebrations spanned several days, each event marked by distinctive customs and memorable moments. The Mayoon ceremony initiated the festivities with the intimate application of henna, including the cleverly hidden name of the groom on the bride’s hands, setting the stage for the traditional and personal nature of the events to follow.
The mehendi ceremony occurred at the Orpheum Theatre, where Sana was dressed in a beautiful and vibrant red traditional outfit, while Quinn donned a dark blue sherwani. The hall itself was festively decorated in the traditional wedding colors of yellow and orange, commonly used in Pakistani weddings, creating a warm and festive atmosphere reflecting the rich cultural heritage being celebrated.
Quinn made a grand entrance to the sound of drums, followed by Sana, who was gracefully escorted by close relatives holding a stretched fabric over her, symbolizing her transition. The evening culminated in a colorful procession through the city streets, a vivid celebration of love and community.
On their wedding day, Quinn presented a breathtaking look resembling an Eastern prince. He was adorned in a wedding sherwani of light hues, complemented by soft footwear intricately embroidered with pearls, enhancing his regal appearance and blending seamlessly with the day’s enchanting fusion of traditions.
The bride was elegant in a light-beige traditional dress, her hair beautifully arranged under a gold-trimmed veil. Sana’s decision to design and custom-make all the dresses in Pakistan was a leap of faith that paid off, bringing an authentic piece of her heritage to their New Orleans celebration. The trust placed in the artisans back home resulted in stunning outfits that perfectly complemented the beauty and spirit of their day.

Their ceremony Shaadi, held under the sprawling oaks of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, was a picturesque affair, blending solemn vows with the natural beauty of their surroundings.
As the bride walked down the aisle toward her beloved, his eyes were filled with love and happiness. They exchanged vows and rings, and the guests were witnesses to the birth of a new family. It was a touching and beautiful event elegantly captured by Linka Odom.
At sunset, Linka captured magical photographs of the couple in the garden. Each frame seemed woven from tenderness, encapsulating the soft glow of the evening light as it wrapped around them, creating a series of moments frozen in time that radiated the gentle affection they shared.
The reception held at the art museum was akin to a fairy tale, with tables draped in white tablecloths and adorned with floral arrangements and an abundance of greenery, creating a romantic ambiance. The venue itself was so inherently beautiful that the decision not to overload it with excessive decor proved to be the right one, allowing its natural elegance to shine through and complement the day’s celebrations perfectly.
The reception commenced with the couple’s grand entrance, where they proceeded to cut the wedding cake. Following this celebratory moment, they descended a beautiful staircase to join their guests. The evening unfolded beautifully, filled with heartfelt speeches from family and friends. The newlyweds also delivered a speech, expressing their gratitude to everyone who shared in this special celebration, making the occasion even more memorable.
As the evening drew close, a red convertible awaited the newlyweds at the entrance. All the guests gathered to bid farewell to the couple. This moment was particularly touching, with the bride’s mother unable to hold back her tears, encapsulating the emotional depth and joy of the day as they embarked on their new journey together.
