Carmen and Thomas wanted their wedding to feel classic and timeless while still reflecting both their Mexican and French backgrounds. The venue played an important role in setting that tone. La Bartola has a distinctive Mexican character, with its architecture, natural surroundings, and cacti creating a natural contrast to the more refined, classic design layered on top.

The welcome celebration leaned into a more colorful, playful Mexican influence, and one of the details guests enjoyed most was a selection of traditional Mexican candies and sweets. Maria Goretti captured the entire wedding weekend beautifully, every meaningful moment, and the distinctly Mexican spirit running through it.

Fashion

Carmen’s bridal look reflected her personal style: understated, elegant, and timeless. She chose a refined wedding gown with a clean, sophisticated silhouette, finished with Jimmy Choo shoes. One of the most meaningful details of her look was her earrings, inherited from her mother, adding a deeply personal, sentimental layer to the day.

Thomas chose a classic, equally timeless look, a custom-made suit tailored specifically for him, paired with Church’s shoes. It complemented Carmen’s understated bridal style perfectly and matched the overall aesthetic running through the whole wedding.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in Querétaro and stood out as one of the most emotional parts of the day. Carmen and Thomas chose not to see each other beforehand, so the moment Carmen walked down the aisle became their first look, emotional, natural, and the moment that seemed to let them finally relax into the rest of the day.

Both were visibly nervous beforehand, but the second their eyes met, everything shifted. The nerves faded, and from there, the two were free to simply enjoy the celebration. A priest who’s a close friend of Carmen’s family officiated, adding an especially personal layer to the ceremony. Carmen comes from a traditional, devoted family, so marrying through a religious ceremony, surrounded by both families and close friends, carried real meaning for the two of them.

What made the celebration especially unique was bringing together so many people from different parts of the world. Family and friends traveled from Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, and beyond to be there for Carmen and Thomas. The bar became another focal point of the design, mirrored surfaces paired with an installation of white flowers displayed at varying heights.

A very specific kind of energy ran through the entire celebration. Everyone there was genuinely happy to be there, the couple, both families, and that feeling carried from the start of the day straight through to the end of the party. The multicultural atmosphere made the whole thing feel especially vibrant, different languages, cultures, and families all coming together in Mexico for one single reason: to celebrate Carmen and Thomas.

Reception Decor

The reception took place at La Bartola, where the design paired contemporary elements with the venue’s own Mexican character. The color palette centered on orange and white, white keeping the design clean and understated, orange bringing warmth into the florals and décor.

Tables were styled in restrained neutral tones, dark tableware, burnt-orange linen napkins, and abundant glassware. Sculptural arrangements of white calla lilies added an organic element to the tables, creating an elegant contrast against the warmer orange accents. One of the most striking elements of the whole reception was the ceiling installation, layers of draped white fabric that created movement throughout the space and completely transformed the atmosphere of the venue.

For the wedding day itself, the design became more refined and understated, balancing the venue’s Mexican character with subtle French influences and a classic aesthetic built to outlast any single trend.

Reception

The result felt sophisticated and contemporary without losing any of the celebration’s warmth. Orange accents tied the reception back to the wedding’s overall color palette, while white florals and architectural installations kept the design clean and timeless. The party carried its own unforgettable energy, vibrant and full of life, guests from different countries celebrating together well into the night.
