A hilltop ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean, trees growing from the center of wedding tables, a surprise choreographed first dance, and vows that left not a single dry eye in the room. Brady and Keegan’s wedding at Rancho Shibumi in Los Cabos was effortless, joyful, and deeply personal from start to finish, brought together by Bliss Events.
Location: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Style: Natural, exclusive, upscale
Setting: Beach
Season: Fall
Brady and Keegan first met at sixteen and seventeen at a friend’s birthday party in Marin County, California, dated briefly, went to prom together in 2012, and then lost touch entirely. Seven years later, they unexpectedly reconnected at a rooftop birthday party in West Hollywood, and a month after that, became inseparable.
The proposal came during a celebratory trip to Montana with their Northwestern Kellogg MBA classmates. Keegan’s plan involved a private fly-fishing lake and Brady completely convinced she was directing a couple’s photo shoot. “I immediately started project managing Keegan on how to pose,” she says, “completely unaware of what was coming.” He stopped her mid-instruction. “How about we try this?” It was, she says, “the perfect surprise.”
Planning & Inspiration
The planning process was seamless from start to finish, and Brady and Keegan credit Bliss Events entirely. “We felt so well taken care of and were constantly impressed by their ability to take our high-level vision and translate it into something even more beautiful than we imagined,” Brady says. It felt like a true collaboration, one that allowed the couple to stay present and actually enjoy the lead-up to the wedding.
The entire day was captured by Bruno Rezza. From the hilltop ceremony overlooking the Pacific to the dance floor that never emptied, his work caught every moment that mattered and a few that nobody else would have thought to look for.
Bride's Fashion
Brady chose a gown by Israeli designer Flora in the Valentina silhouette, finishing the look with a long scarf in place of a traditional veil. “I loved that the dress had dramatic flair while still offering so much movement and fluidity,” she says, a feeling that translated perfectly against the ocean setting in Cabo.
Groom's Fashion
Keegan completed the look with a custom white tuxedo by Jonathan Behr, timeless and striking against the beach backdrop; the two of them together felt like they had been dressed for exactly this setting.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place on a full stage built on a hill at Rancho Shibumi, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the beach below, designed so that every guest felt like they were right on the water. “I expected it to be gorgeous, which it was,” Brady says, “but I didn’t expect Keegan’s vows to move me as deeply as they did.” He framed them as an open letter to his eighty-year-old self, about the man and father he wants to be. Not a dry eye in the house.
Brady and Keegan had written their vows separately and heard each other’s words for the first time standing together in front of everyone they love. The standout moment came when Keegan revealed that early in their relationship he had written himself a note: “If you’re not with Brady in six months, you’re an idiot.” He reflected on that during his vows, telling her that if he’s not with her at eighty, then he truly messed up. “It was heartfelt, personal, and perfectly captured our journey together,” Brady says.
Reception Decor & Design
The design palette centered around neutrals, whites, and greens, inspired by Martha’s Vineyard with an earthy, organic twist. Florals by Cristina G were playful and sometimes deliberately droopy, and wedding tables with trees growing from their centers became one of the most talked-about elements of the day. Above the custom dance floor, clouds of green baby’s breath hung from the ceiling, giving the space a feeling that was wild and considered at the same time. Guests were asked to bring the color themselves, women arriving in floor-length vibrant dresses that made the room feel as alive as the setting around it.
Several elements were custom-built for the day, including the ceremony aisle on the hill overlooking the beach and the dance floor itself. The most personal touch of all was having their best friend perform their wedding song live during the ceremony, the kind of detail that turns a beautiful wedding into something genuinely unforgettable.
Reception
The first dance was to “House Party” by Sam Hunt, and the couple had kept a secret: a fully choreographed, synchronized routine that surprised every single guest in the room. Toasts followed from siblings and parents on both sides, with Keegan’s brother’s speech earning a particular mention, a portrait of Keegan’s positive approach to life that had the room laughing nonstop.
Every detail of the day pointed toward the same thing. “We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of our relationship,” Brady says, “effortless, fun, relaxed, in-sync, and full of deep, rich love.” The guests felt the love through the vows, the fun through fireworks and all-night dancing, and the laughter through speeches that were as personal as they were hilarious. “I’m so happy to say we achieved that,” Brady says. By every measure, they did.
