What does a cathedral do to a wedding? Inside one, light moves differently. It arrives in beams through a rose window and settles on stone floors like something intentional — and so does the scent of incense and wax that lingers in the air. This editorial was built around all of it: the altar candles, the checkered tiles, the silence between arches. Concept and planning came from Katrin True, who let the space lead.
The ceremony was a religious one, and the design followed suit. Guests in black, a bride in white, a dinner table arranged in the shape of a cross and lined with hundreds of candles. A full team of decorators, stylists, and artisans worked to make the space feel worthy of the vows spoken inside it, and they did. Faith that two are now one.
Photography was in the hands of White on Black Studio, whose approach was unhurried and faithful to the light. Looking at these images, you step into the space — into a darkness that holds you, weighted with mystery and reverence.
