The story of the Sullivans began on July 12, 2023, when Jade sent Sydney a message on Instagram that was both direct and thoughtful: “Hey, I think you’re really pretty, and it would ruin my whole day if I didn’t get your number.” That single message sparked a connection that quickly grew into something special. They began talking every day, and soon after, Jade made the drive from Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for their first date. He arrived early, made a great first impression, and even helped Sydney move in the very next day. By that weekend, he had already met her mom, and from the start, everything just felt right.

Location: Cave Springs, Arkansas, US
Style: Timeless romance
Time of planning: 10 months
Number of guests: 185
Setting: Osage House & Hall, Chapel
Season: Spring

Just two weeks after they met, Jade asked Sydney to be his girlfriend. They spent six months navigating long distance until Jade moved to Arkansas for work, making everything fall into place. In 2024, at Mt. Sequoyah in Fayetteville, he proposed, and Sydney said yes!

Their wedding was the perfect reflection of their love story – classic elegance with a touch of Southern luxury. Imagine dusty blues and crisp whites, pearls and hydrangeas, and personal details woven into every corner of the celebration. Reflecting back, Sydney shares, “The planning process was so difficult for me. I had analysis paralysis at every choice, but luckily my planner, Brooke Bradford, helped tie all the elements into one masterpiece.”

Bridal Morning & Fashion

Sydney initially purchased her wedding dress in September 2024, but about six weeks before the wedding, she completely changed her mind. Her best friend and photographer, Emily Hendrick, joined her for a second round of dress shopping, which led her to the stunning Dany Tabet gown from Tesori in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She wore the dress with studded pearl heels from Steve Madden and kept accessories minimal, wearing a strand of pearl earrings borrowed from her sister.

Her makeup and hair by Boun Vang was soft and timeless, complemented by Baccarat perfume. The bouquet was kept classic and elegant, featuring white blooms with subtle touches of blue.

"I felt incredible, and cannot even articulate how happy I was that I switched dresses. I felt so at peace all day, yet so giddy to marry my favorite person. It was a surreal feeling.”

Groom's Look

Jade wore a navy suit from Mr. Tux NWA, with a light blue floral bow tie that added a touch of personality to his classic look. Instead of boutonnieres, he and the groomsmen wore coordinating pocket squares, perfectly complementing the bow ties. For fragrance, Jade chose Vaquero, Sydney’s favorite cologne. He later shared that spending the morning with his groomsmen was one of the best times of his life, and the wedding itself was truly the best day he’s ever had.

First Looks

The first look was one of the most special moments of the day. Sydney first shared the experience with her family, creating an intimate and emotional memory filled with tears, laughter, and pure joy.

Soon after, it was time for the most anticipated moment: seeing her husband-to-be. She admits she had no idea what to expect, but the instant their eyes met exceeded her wildest dreams. It was a moment of calm, love, and excitement that set the tone for everything that followed.

Moments Together

The day flowed into tender moments shared just between the two of them before saying “I do.” Emily Hendrick Photography captured these stunning portraits, each one reflecting the genuine love Sydney and Jade share. Every glance, every smile, carried the excitement of what was to come.

A vintage Porsche added to the timelessly romantic atmosphere of the wedding, bringing an extra touch of elegance and charm to the day.

Ceremony

The ceremony was filled with heartfelt details that made it deeply personal and meaningful. Jade’s childhood FCA mentor officiated, which brought such a special connection to the day. In the weeks leading up, he counseled the couple over FaceTime and guided them in shaping a ceremony that truly reflected their story and values.

One of the most powerful moments came when their parents joined them at the altar to pray. It was intimate, emotional, and overflowing with love—so much so that everyone could feel the weight of the moment.

Cocktail Hour

During cocktail hour, guests were welcomed with a stunning white bar draped in cascading hydrangeas, accented by hanging photos of Sydney and Jade. Customized bar signs, created in partnership with Minted, added a personal touch, while a queso fountain became an instant crowd favorite.

Two signature cocktails reflected the couple perfectly: a blueberry margarita for her and a Crown Apple with Sprite for him. The atmosphere was set with a summer-inspired playlist with the kind of music you’d want to hear on a golden-hour boat cruise, perfectly capturing the joyful, laid-back vibe of the evening.

Reception Decor

The design process began with one of the biggest decisions: selecting Osage House as the venue. From there, the couple focused on color elements and how to weave them throughout the celebration. Their florist, Darling Blooms, created an inspiration board that helped bring the vision into focus.

At the heart of it all was a blue-and-white French toile tablecloth, a pattern that felt both timeless and classic. This motif became the base of the wedding’s design, setting the stage for a celebration that balanced elegance with modern details and meaningful nods to the couple’s love story. Even the invitations echoed the toile design, creating a thread from start to finish.

Celebration

For their first dance, Sydney and Jade chose Ain’t That a Kick in the Head by Dean Martin, setting a playful yet romantic tone for the evening. Later, as the dance floor came alive, Sydney changed into a striking blue dress that brought extra fun to the night. The celebration quickly turned into the kind of dance party she had always dreamed of—joyful, high-energy, and absolutely unforgettable.

In between dancing, the newlyweds took a sweet pause to cut their three-layer cake, adorned with pearl-like candies. The elegant design perfectly complemented the timeless and playful atmosphere of the evening, offering a moment of delight before the celebration picked up again on the dance floor.

The night concluded with a magical touch as guests lit small fireworks, creating a sparkling send-off for the newlyweds. They drove away in a vintage Porsche, leaving behind an unforgettable scene and the perfect ending to a celebration filled with love, joy, and timeless romance.

Advice from the couple:

CHERISH EVERY SINGLE MOMENT! I cannot tell you how thankful I am that little things did not stress me out. My advice would be to cherish every second and don’t sweat the small stuff – this truly was the best day of my life because at the end of the day it’s about the marriage, not just the wedding.

Focus on incorporating the intricacies of your relationship into the event. Instead of focusing on following trends, we were intentional to add elements that felt like us and represented our love and our story into every aspect of the day!
