Alexandra and Jacob were brought together by fate, and their close friends, Shawn and Margot. Jacob made the first move, and their story officially began over dinner at a cozy spot in downtown Santa Barbara. The night didn’t end there—they watched “The Shallows” with Alex’s younger sister and her partner, making it a memory layered with love and laughter. From the start, something just clicked.

Their relationship grew through shared adventures, meaningful conversations, and a quiet, steady bond. When Jacob proposed, it was deeply personal—an intimate moment that perfectly captured the love they’d built and the future they were ready to step into, together.

Inspiration & Vision

Alexandra and Jacob envisioned an intimate, warm, and deeply personal wedding—a reflection of their love story and the life they’re building together. Inspired by nature and the ease of rustic elegance, they embraced earthy tones, soft florals, and handcrafted details throughout the day. Their shared love for the outdoors shaped the entire aesthetic: natural wood accents, candlelit tables, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere created the perfect setting at Swallow Creek Ranch. With a mix of hands-on DIY projects and collaborations with trusted vendors, they brought their vision to life beautifully.

Bridal Morning & Fashion

Alexandra’s wedding morning was calm, meaningful, and full of love. Surrounded by her closest people, she wore a breathtaking gown by FLORA—a perfect blend of elegance and effortless, bohemian charm. She styled it with delicate accessories, including a cherished family heirloom that added meaning to her look.

Her bouquet was a soft, dreamy mix of white blooms and wildflowers that mirrored the natural beauty of the day. With glowing makeup and a floral-inspired fragrance, Alexandra embraced the romantic energy of the moment with grace and ease.

Alexandra honored her mother in a heartfelt way by wearing a cherished heirloom necklace, a meaningful detail that added depth and emotion to their beautifully personal celebration.

Groom's Fashion

Jacob got ready in a camper van—and the vibe was full of laughs, inside jokes, and great energy with his groomsmen and family. He wore a classic yet modern suit from Cassaras Italian Men’s Wear, opting for a sharp, tailored fit that truly reflected his personal style.

He finished the look with shoes from Magnanni, and his boutonniere was a simple, thoughtful nod to the wedding’s floral palette—refined, meaningful, and perfectly understated.

Ceremony

Alexandra and Jacob imagined a ceremony that felt intimate, personal, and deeply connected to nature. Set against the raw beauty of the ranch, they exchanged vows beneath a handcrafted arch covered in wildflowers, wonderfully captured on video by Elpis Weddings.

Choosing not to do a first look made their walk down the aisle all the more powerful. As Alexandra stepped into view, the emotion hit instantly. Jacob’s reaction said it all, and guests could feel the weight of the moment. For Alexandra, seeing his face as she walked toward him was a memory etched in her heart. And for Jacob, exchanging vows in front of the people who mean the most to them was one of the most meaningful moments of the day.

Their vows were sealed with a kiss—and the joyful sound of everyone cheering around them. It was a moment full of love, celebration, and pure emotion, all beautifully captured by Daniela Escobar

Cocktail Hour

During cocktail hour, guests mingled under the golden California sun, sipping signature drinks and enjoying locally inspired bites. The vibe was relaxed and joyful, filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt conversations.

Reception

The reception felt like a cozy dinner party brought to life—intimate, personal, and full of joy. Long tables were dressed in fresh blooms, glowing candles, and thoughtful handwritten place cards, creating a beautiful and welcoming setting.

The evening continued with emotional toasts, non-stop dancing, and a first dance to “Soul Meets Body” by Death Cab for Cutie that had everyone touched. And for dessert? A fun and delicious pairing of an Ox and Anchor cake and crowd-favorite donuts—sweet, unexpected, and totally memorable.

Advice from the couple:

• Embrace each moment as the day unfolds rapidly. Prioritize what truly matters—celebrating your union with those dearest to you. Don’t be overwhelmed by minor details; instead, focus on the joy and love surrounding you. If possible, carve out a private moment during the festivities to connect with your partner and reflect on the significance of the day.
