Set against the timeless charm of London, Rebecca and AJ’s wedding was a blend of elegance, spontaneity, and heartfelt celebration. From a candlelit chapel ceremony to a cocktail hour on a double-decker bus, every detail reflected their story — global, stylish, and deeply personal. What unfolded was a weekend full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments shared with those who mattered most.
Location: London, United Kingdom
Style: Romantic, elegant, sophisticated
Setting: Ceremony — church, reception — ballroom
Wedding season: Fall
Rebecca and AJ’s story began nearly 20 years ago at their international school in Bangkok, where a childhood friendship quietly took root. Though life eventually took them to different corners of the U.S. for university, their bond never faded — each year, Rebecca organized birthday reunion trips for their shared February 17th celebration, keeping their connection alive. It was during one of these gatherings, a ski trip four years ago, that something shifted — friendship turned to love. From then on, they were inseparable. A year later, Rebecca arrived in New York expecting another birthday reunion, only to be surprised by a beautifully planned proposal on the rooftop of the Soho Grand Hotel, followed by an intimate celebration with friends and family to mark the beginning of their next chapter.
Welcome Party
Rebecca and AJ envisioned a wedding weekend that felt personal and deeply reflective of their journey together. With roots stretching from New York to London, where they had begun building memories as a couple, choosing London as their backdrop felt effortlessly right. They kicked off the festivities aboard a double-decker bus brimming with laughter, flowers, and the joyful energy of their closest friends.
The ride led them to an intimate welcome dinner, where loved ones gathered in a cozy restaurant, glasses full, spirits high, and hearts already overflowing. Rebecca arrived in a structured Maison Margiela dress paired with a romantic Magda Butrym jacket — a look that felt both effortlessly chic and perfectly in tune with the evening’s London charm. The joy was palpable, captured in spontaneous speeches and the golden warmth of being surrounded by the people who had been part of their journey all along.
Wedding Day
Bride's Fashion
Rebecca wore a sculptural Sarah Seven gown and veil, paired with sparkling Rene Caovilla heels. The gown’s structured corset bodice and full, flowing skirt struck the perfect balance between classic and contemporary, while a minimalist bouquet of white calla lilies from Jessie Anderson Studio mirrored the sleek sophistication of her silhouette.
The bride’s heirloom jewelry passed down from both her grandmothers was a meaningful touche that added depth to her already striking ensemble. The glam by KL Luxe Beauty truly elevated it all: Rebecca’s hair fell in loose, cascading waves that framed her face with effortless glamour, and her makeup was luminous and fresh — a soft glow on the skin, subtly defined eyes, and a radiant smile that lit up every room she entered.
Groom's Look
AJ worked closely with a tailor at Cad & The Dandy to design a custom double-breasted tuxedo that blended modern elegance with classic tailoring. Sharp lapels, a crisp white shirt, and a perfectly tied bow tie completed the look. Adding a deeply personal touch, the inside of his jacket was embroidered with the London wedding date and the couple’s new title, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Adduci’ — a subtle, sentimental detail that made the look uniquely his own.
Ceremony
Stylish guests arrived at the ceremony with a classic red bus from The Vintage Red Bus Company. With its bold color and unmistakable charm, the bus made a statement all its own as it pulled up to the venue, setting the tone for the celebration ahead.
The ceremony took place in Fitzrovia Chapel, adorned with vaulted ceilings, intricate marble walls, and jewel-toned stained glass windows that bathed the space in soft, colorful light. The natural beauty of the space needed little enhancement, so the couple opted for a minimalist yet powerful decor: dozens of glowing candles clustered at the altar, creating an atmosphere that was both sacred and intimate.
Guests were welcomed with the beautiful sounds of London Strings, filling the chapel with a sense of quiet anticipation. As AJ and Rebecca had already been legally married in New York before, their London ceremony was crafted to feel elegant yet relaxed. A close friend of the couple officiated, setting a warm, intimate tone that balanced tradition with moments of lightness and humor.
After the happy newlyweds walked back down the aisle, the ceremony concluded with joyful champagne toasts, kicking off the celebration as everyone made their way to the cocktail hour — glasses in hand, spirits high, and love all around.
Cocktail Hour
Rebecca and AJ’s favorite memory happened as soon as they stepped out of the chapel and into the London streets, still wrapped in the emotion of the moment. By sheer chance, a group of musicians began playing nearby, serenading them as they boarded the vintage bus. It created the perfect mood for what came next: a cocktail hour ‘on the move,‘ with guests sipping drinks and sharing laughter as the bus wound its way through the city — turning tradition on its head and creating one of the most unforgettable parts of the day.
This roaming celebration wasn’t just a signature detail — it was a chance for the couple to savor the just-married glow, surrounded by the people they love most, soaking in every emotion from the ceremony before arriving at the reception. Lucia Mancini captured the radiant smiles of the couple and their beloved family and friends, weaving together a captivating, heartfelt story of the celebration through images that felt both stylish and full of life.
Reception
The vision for the wedding was inspired by the idea of a timeless London dinner party, blending elegance with spontaneous, personal touches that reflected Rebecca and AJ’s unique story. Drawing from the city’s rich history and architecture, as well as the warmth of intimate gatherings with loved ones, the couple envisioned a celebration that felt both classic and modern.
With The NoMad as their stunning backdrop, they set out to create a seamless experience for their international guests — one that honored their shared memories in London and their global upbringing. Working closely with their planner, Poppy Sienna Events, they brought that vision to life through thoughtful details: a design palette of moody blues, rich greys, and warm candlelight inspired by the city’s autumn tones. Instead of traditional florals, they opted for a romantic, candlelit glow that transformed the Magistrates Ballroom into a space that felt both inviting and unforgettable.
The reception unfolded in the candlelit glow, where long tables, flickering flames, and moody, painted ceilings created a setting that felt intimate and grand. As guests gathered around the table, heartfelt speeches and joyful toasts filled the room with laughter, happy tears, and stories from every chapter of Rebecca and AJ’s lives.
For the after-party, Rebecca changed into a dazzling gown by The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel, a shimmering look that perfectly matched the vibrant mood of the celebration’s final chapter. The evening ended on a high note with an electric DJ set and an unforgettable live performance by Max on Sax that had everyone on their feet. The energy was unmatched, and the dance floor stayed full well into the night.
"We were blessed to work with such an incredible and fun team of vendors throughout the entire planning process! Looking back, we are so glad we made the decision to work with a team of trusted partners, because it allowed us to be even more present throughout our wedding weekend."

Advice from the couple:
• Poppy Sienna Events knew we had other meetings set up before we would be able to commit to a planner and had given us the same advice we’d now give to any other couple: your planner(s) should demonstrate that they understand, believe in and can execute your vision for your wedding but more importantly, should be someone you feel you can trust and get along with, because you’ll be talking with them a lot :). Poppy was the only planner that we had met with that offered such sound advice and the human first approach was the ultimate selling point in our decision to work together.
