With close friends and family traveling from across the globe, their day was intimate yet vibrant, featuring thoughtful details and personal touches that reflected their journey together. Location: Ibiza, Spain
Style: Coastal, timeless, Scandinavian-inspired
Time of planning: 18 months
Number of guests: 60
Setting: Estate
Season: Summer

Julia and Filip’s love story began 12 years ago in a small town in northern Sweden, where they met as teenagers and quickly became inseparable. “Finding your soulmate and the love of your life at such a young age is a blessing,” the couple shared. Their journey together has been filled with meaningful moments, but none as unforgettable as Filip’s proposal during a Miami vacation. As the sun rose over South Beach, Filip nervously declared his love during a private boat trip, presenting Julia with a ring he had secretly packed. “Julia said yes without hesitating, and we both cried tears of joy,” Filip shared. Overwhelmed with emotion, Julia said yes, and the couple began dreaming of a wedding that reflected their shared journey. After exploring several destinations in Spain, they chose Ibiza—where their first trip together had taken place—as the perfect location to say “I do.”

Bridal Morning

After trying on several dresses, Julia found “the one” in the Medina dress from Jeune Bridal. The dress featured intricate details and a flattering silhouette that complemented her style, becoming truly hers after some custom tailoring. To complete the look, Julia opted for a pair of delicate pearl earrings by Swedish designer Drakenberg Sjölin, the only jewelry she wore aside from her wedding bands. Her bouquet echoed the clean, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic, featuring white blooms that added a soft, romantic touch to her ensemble.

Julia’s hair and makeup were styled by her close friend Caroline, who created a natural look to match the understated elegance of the day. Soft waves paired with a minimal makeup palette enhanced Julia’s radiant beauty without overshadowing the dress. To add a personal touch, Julia wore Chanel Chance as her signature scent, a fragrance she and Filip selected together for the occasion. The simplicity and sophistication of her bridal style perfectly aligned with the wedding’s theme, leaving her feeling confident and comfortable as she walked down the aisle.

Groom's Fashion

Filip chose a custom-made double-breasted tuxedo from Suitsupply, ensuring every detail reflected his personal style. The tuxedo’s sharp tailoring and modern design were paired with sleek black shoes, creating a timeless look.

Adding a deeply personal touch, Filip wore inherited cufflinks and his grandfather’s wedding band to honor his late grandfather, who had passed away just months before the wedding. Like his bride, Filip selected Chanel Allure as his signature fragrance for the day, creating a special memory tied to their celebration.

Ceremony

Julia and Filip exchanged vows in a breathtaking ceremony at Elixir Ibiza, overlooking the azure waters of the Mediterranean and the iconic Es Vedra. The couple spent the night before apart, adding to the anticipation of their first look. Filip greeted guests as they arrived, setting a warm and inviting tone. The ceremony began with Filip walking down the aisle to a song of his choice, followed by Julia’s niece, Maliyah, who charmed everyone as the flower girl. Julia’s entrance was nothing short of captivating as she walked down the aisle under the Mediterranean sun, radiating joy and elegance.

A dear family friend served as the celebrant, creating a heartfelt connection to the couple. Two poems were read—one written by Julia’s maternal great-grandfather and another read by her grandmother. In a touching gesture, their mothers handed them the wedding bands before they exchanged vows. The intimate atmosphere, surrounded by the natural beauty of Ibiza, made the ceremony feel truly magical.

"The ceremony turned out just like we wanted it to, the surroundings truly made it magical, and we felt completely overwhelmed with happiness and joy afterwards."

Private Moment

Amidst the excitement of their wedding day, Julia and Filip took a moment to step away from the celebration for some time alone together. Their private session was set against the golden hues of Ibiza’s sunset, with the island’s rugged coastline and serene beaches providing a stunning backdrop. The soft sea breeze and a warm glow of the setting sun made the moment feel intimate and almost surreal, creating a memory they will treasure forever.

Their private session was beautifully captured by Maria, Marnosuite Photography, whose individual style brought an artistic touch to the couple’s wedding album. Her focus on Julia and Filip’s connection and the intricate details of their day is evident in every shot. Maria’s use of light and composition showcased the couple’s emotions while seamlessly incorporating Ibiza’s stunning scenery. Her ability to tell a story through stylish and captivating imagery made the photos not just a record of the day but a true artistic reflection of Julia and Filip’s love story.

"Just before the dinner we had a moment to ourselves with our brilliant photographer Maria for the private photo session."

Reception

The reception decor perfectly complemented Julia and Filip’s Scandinavian-inspired wedding theme, blending clean lines with romantic details. The venue sparkled with soft candlelight and minimalist floral arrangements by Event Stylist Ibiza. The tables were adorned with hydrangeas, freesias, and white roses in simple glass vases, which added a natural and understated elegance. Overhead, string lights cast a warm glow, and a striking chandelier added a hint of glamour. The venue’s coastal views provided the perfect finishing touch to the sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance. Guests were also greeted with personalized anniversary cards on each table, encouraging them to leave messages for Julia and Filip to open on future anniversaries—an intimate and sentimental touch.

As dinner began, the couple’s toastmasters, Lamija and Matt, guided the evening with a mix of humor and heartfelt introductions. Guests savored a beautifully curated dinner, served family-style, encouraging a sense of togetherness. The toasts ranged from emotional tributes to lighthearted anecdotes, including a surprise rap performance by Filip’s niece that had everyone laughing. The couple expressed how much they cherished hearing the warm words and stories shared by their closest friends and family: All the toasts were memorable in different ways, from emotional appreciations to a spontaneous rap song performed by Fillip’s 12-year-old niece!”

The couple’s choice of cake was a modern and minimalist heart-shaped design, perfectly in tune with their clean and elegant aesthetic. After cutting the cake, Julia and Filip shared their first dance under the stars to a remix of “Latch” by Sam Smith, a meaningful song from their engagement trip to Miami. As the music played, their guests gathered around, cheering and clapping as the couple twirled and dipped on the dance floor.

The live performance by Imane Jade kept the energy high, ensuring the reception ended on a celebratory and unforgettable note. The thoughtful decor, heartfelt moments, and lively celebration made their reception an enchanting conclusion to their special day.

"Getting all our family and friends to travel with us to Spain and celebrate with us really made the wedding weekend special. We can definitely recommend a destination wedding!"

Advice from the couple:

• Remember that it’s your day: make decisions based on your own preferences, not what you think others would like.

• Don’t over-plan: the day probably won’t turn out just like you plan it to be anyway. Giving it some space for spontaneity will make your day less stressful and probably even more memorable.

• Plan warm-up activities where guests can mingle and meet before the wedding day. The fact that all our guests had already met and gotten to know each other created a more relaxed atmosphere during the wedding day.
