Location: Ibiza, Spain
Style: Classic with extravaganza and a natural touch
Time of planning: 8 months
Number of guests: 75
Setting: Exclusive Luxury Villa
Season: Summer
Laetitia and Sylvain’s love story began with a single message on social media, yet it took nearly a year for them to finally meet face-to-face. “It was a slow start,” they admit, but that time only deepened their connection. When they finally met, it felt like “a true fairy tale”—a love so immediate and profound that they both knew it was meant to be.
“We love to celebrate and enjoy the good things in life,” from elegant celebrations to savoring a glass of their favorite Veuve Clicquot on any occasion. Sylvain’s proposal reflected this spirit perfectly: he rented out the exclusive Veuve Clicquot cellars and the historic Veuve Clicquot Manor in Verzy, Champagne, creating a magical setting for the moment. They then spent the weekend at the Ritz in Paris, making their engagement as enchanting as their love story.
The Location, Vision & Photography
Ibiza held a special place in their story—“the island where we spent our first vacation together, about fifteen days after we first met,” they recall. It was here that their love truly came to life. The island’s breathtaking landscape, vibrant party atmosphere, and sunny climate made it an easy choice for their wedding, especially compared to Belgium’s weather. They looked for a private villa with unique spaces for each part of the celebration rather than a more impersonal hotel setting. When their wedding planner at Bliss Ibiza Weddings proposed a villa with stunning views, they were immediately convinced it was the perfect setting for their day.
For Laetitia and Sylvain, choosing the right photographer for their destination wedding in Ibiza was very important. They dreamed of someone who could capture each significant moment and the lively, vibrant atmosphere that made their celebration so special. From the island’s breathtaking landscapes to the joyful energy of the day, they wanted every detail documented in a way that would let them relive the experience fully. Stephanie Shenton was the perfect choice; she beautifully captured the spirit of the wedding, allowing Laetitia and Sylvain to feel every emotion and every bit of Ibiza’s magic all over again.
Couple's Morning & Fashion
Laetitia’s style exuded chic sophistication with a touch of allure. She wore a dress by Berta, chosen for its close-fitting cut that perfectly highlighted her figure. Complementing the gown were “Le Silla” pumps, which combined style and comfort, allowing her to wear them effortlessly all day—and all night. Her fragrance of choice was “Intense” by Tiffany & Co., matching the brand of her engagement ring and wedding bands. Makeup and hairstyling were expertly done by Jo Mackay, who was also recommended by their wedding planner. Completing her look, the bouquet from ArtNatur Ibiza added a natural elegance.
"We woke up in this sumptuous villa with a breathtaking view of Ibiza and the sea. Our wedding planner and her team took care of everything so we could relax, get ready, and spend time with our families."
The couple about their morning
Sylvain chose a classic, well-fitted beige three-piece suit from Loro Piana, keeping it simple and elegant with no extra embellishments. To complement his look, he wore refined shoes from Magnanni. The guests were invited to join the pastel theme, adding a soft, harmonious touch to the celebration.
Ceremony
The vision of a ceremony by the pool was a masterstroke suggested by the wedding planner, designed to deliver that unforgettable “wow” moment for the couple and their guests. And it worked beautifully! The shimmering blue water reflected the stunning backdrop of Ibiza’s rolling hills and the sea beyond, creating an illusion that the bride and groom were floating above the landscape.
"We wanted a unique, glamorous, and festive wedding that reflected our couple and our love, full of references to our story so that our loved ones and ourselves would forever remember the day we said yes."
The couple about the ceremony
Cocktail Hour
During the cocktail hour, the couple savored time with their guests, sharing drinks and enjoying lively music under the warm Ibizan sun.
The newlyweds stole a few private moments around the villa, beautifully captured by Stephanie Shenton. They embraced the magic of golden hour, creating unforgettable photos filled with warmth and romance.
Reception Decor
The newlyweds chose a timeless decor style that perfectly complemented the villa’s surroundings. Laetitia and Sylvain spared no expense, making a bold statement with lavish, avant-garde floral arrangements and sophisticated decor. They opted for an elegant palette of white and soft greens for the ceremony, venue, and reception tables, bringing a fresh, organic touch to the celebration. The romantic garden ambiance was further elevated with string lights, muted linens, calligraphy menus, and thoughtfully arranged table settings, creating a stylish and classic look.
Celebration
The reception was spectacular, with champagne flowing all night as the signature cocktail. Each table was named after the couple’s favorite champagnes, adding a personal and playful touch to the evening. For the catering, they brought in Oussama, the talented chef from “La Boutique” in Liège, the restaurant where they first met. This detail held deep significance for the couple, and seeing it all come together flawlessly made the celebration even more meaningful.
Laetitia and Sylvian selected a breathtaking eight-tier wedding cake with an elegant white-on-white design. Adorned with cascading white roses, this cake was a masterpiece, blending visual grandeur with delicious flavor.
One of the most touching moments of the day was Laetitia’s surprise performance for Sylvain. Though she’d always been shy about singing, Laetitia secretly took singing lessons and performed Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’Amour” in front of all their guests. The moment brought Sylvain to tears, along with many others in the audience, creating an unforgettable memory filled with emotion.
The evening was a spectacle of fire and music designed to captivate and celebrate. Fire dancers illuminated the night with a blazing wall proudly displaying the couple’s names—a stunning focal point against the dark sky. Pyrotechnic effects added an extra spark of excitement while the live band and DJ took turns energizing the crowd, ensuring the celebration was both thrilling and unforgettable, lasting well into the night.
"The most memorable moment was when, at the end of the evening, around 3 a.m., we took the remaining guests by shuttle to the club. Laetitia wore her wedding dress; we were welcomed in the VIP area with all our guests, and all the partygoers applauded and offered us so many bottles that we could never finish them all. This unusual little madness perfectly illustrates our life."
Advice from the couple:
• Imagine a wedding that reflects you. Indulge yourself and trust a wedding planner so that you can enjoy a magnificent day without stress.
