Hermine and Pep’s wedding day was a gorgeous celebration in the heart of Costa Brava. Under the warm August sun, they exchanged vows at the luxury and historic venue, surrounded by their loved ones. The day was filled with tons of flowers, genuine smiles, elegant touches, heartfelt moments, and a joyful gathering of family and friends, all flawlessly orchestrated by Sonia from Barcelona Wedding.

Location: S’Agaró, Costa Brava, Spain
Style: Classic, elegant, floral
Time of planning: 7 months
Number of guests: 250
Setting: Hotel
Season: Summer

Hermine and Pep’s love story began in the midst of a challenging time. They met while skiing in St. Moritz, just one month before the Covid pandemic arrived. As the world shut down, Hermine moved to Pep’s summer house in Costa Brava, where they spent the next two years together. Their bond grew stronger during this time, leading to their decision to marry two years later in this amazing place, in a luxury Hostal La Gavina setting.

Bridal Morning

Hermine’s bridal look was the embodiment of elegance. Her gown, crafted by one of Spain’s most prestigious designers, Santos Costura, featured a grand wild silk skirt layered over the original dress, adding a dramatic yet graceful touch. She paired the gown with comfortable Valentino shoes, perfect for dancing until sunrise. A Cartier choker and bracelet, gifted by her mother-in-law on the wedding day, added a stunning surprise to complete her look. Marina from Makeup Hair Barcelona created a flawless makeup look, enhancing Hermine’s natural beauty with a soft, radiant finish.

Groom's Fashion

Pep opted for a classic and sophisticated look with a tuxedo from Tom Ford. He recalled the memorable moment of doing his final fitting at Santa Eulalia, one of Barcelona’s most exclusive stores, where he found himself alongside a famous football player, adding an unexpected twist to his wedding preparations.

Ceremony

The venue’s iconic arches and terraces, with its breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, framed the couple’s ceremony beautifully, creating a scene that was both romantic and timeless. The couple stood before their loved ones, surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements of soft pink and white roses, which added a romantic touch to the setting. The bridesmaids, dressed in striking red gowns, and the groomsmen, in classic black and white tuxedos, lined up beside the couple, adding to the visual harmony of the scene.

"We decided to work with the amazing Pedro Navarro who came from Marbella with 5 trucks of flowers for the wedding and post-wedding events. The most stunning roses I’ve never seen in my live."

Aperitive

After the ceremony, guests gathered on the lawn for the aperitif, where their vibrant, colorful attire turned the moment into a high-fashion event. The mix of bold hues against the elegant floral decor created a striking scene. A live band played in the background, adding to the lively and stylish atmosphere as everyone celebrated under the warm sun.

Moment Alone

As the sun began to set, Hermine and Pep took a quiet moment alone, surrounded by the beauty of the Mediterranean. The soft light of the golden hour cast a warm glow over them, highlighting their joy and deep connection.

Lena Karelova Photography captured these intimate moments with stunning artistry, showcasing the couple’s love against the elegant arches and sweeping sea views. Each photograph reflects the tenderness and happiness that defined their day, turning these memories into timeless keepsakes.

The reception at Luxury Hostal La Gavina was an elegant affair, with every detail thoughtfully planned by Sonia from Barcelona Wedding. The tables were dressed in crisp white linens and adorned with blush roses, peonies, and orchids, all beautifully arranged by Pedro Navarro. Soft pink napkins and personalized place cards added a refined touch. Under the glow of twinkling lights hanging from a grand tree, the outdoor space perfectly captured the couple’s style, a testament to Sonia’s meticulous planning.

Party & Entertainment

Dinner at the reception was a highlight, with guests enjoying a carefully curated menu as heartfelt toasts were made in honor of Hermine and Pep. The couple’s first dance was a beautiful moment, with the two swaying gracefully under the warm glow of lights, surrounded by their loved ones.

"The wedding was the opportunity to meet both families and friends from both sides."

As the night progressed, the celebration moved indoors, where a saxophonist and DJ took over, filling the space with lively tunes. Guests danced late into the night, ending the day on a high note, celebrating the couple’s love and the joy of the occasion.

Day After

The day after the wedding, guests were treated to a beautifully orchestrated brunch overlooking the stunning Mediterranean coastline. Sonia, the planner, once again showcased her exceptional planning skills, creating a vibrant and relaxed setting.

The decor featured bright floral arrangements in bold pinks and oranges, set against elegant blue and white linens. Chandeliers hung from greenery-covered arches, adding a touch of sophistication to the open-air space. The picturesque views, combined with the thoughtful decor, made for a perfect end of the celebration.
