Featured Members:

Joey and Esther first met at church, where their love story began to blossom. After a year of meticulous planning, they celebrated their wedding at Montgomery Hall in the heart of Mount Claremont during the Australian summer.

Location: Mount Claremont, Australia
Style: Opulent, dramatic
Time of planning: 1 year
Number of guests: 150
Setting: Ballroom
Season: Summer

Location & Planning

The wedding took place at the stunning Montgomery Hall in Mount Claremont, Western Australia. The ballroom setting provided an elegant and romantic backdrop for their special day, accommodating 150 dear guests.

Esther, with her love for timeless, classic, and romantic themes, drew inspiration from her ballet background. Particularly, the Rose Adagio dance sequence from Sleeping Beauty influenced the wedding’s theme, making it a perfect blend of elegance and enchantment.

Bride & Groom's Fashion

Esther dazzled in three different outfits throughout the day. Her first dress was an elegant lace wedding gown that highlighted her figure beautifully, paired with intricate pearl and ruby jewelry. She then changed into a more daring deep V lace dress before slipping into a simple white dress perfect for dancing. Her makeup featured a classic French red lip, and her hair was styled in a sleek low bun, adding to her sophisticated look. Joey complemented her perfectly in a classic black tuxedo, looking dapper and stylish.

Dress shopping with Esther’s mother and maid of honor was a memorable experience. Despite her mother’s candid comments about the dresses, Esther found a beautiful cathedral laced veil that brought tears to her mother’s eyes, marking a moment of approval and love. This experience underscored the unique bond between Esther and her mother, who ultimately played a key role in ensuring Esther looked stunning on her wedding day.

First Look

Before the ceremony, Joey and Esther shared an intimate first look outside Montgomery Hall, capturing a private moment filled with joy and anticipation. Following this, they had a photo session with their wedding party. The photographer, Ria from Curated Street captured every detail and emotion, from the couple’s loving glances to the vibrant energy of the wedding party. Ria’s work truly highlighted the elegance and enchantment of the day.

Ceremony

The ceremony was a heartfelt affair, with the aisle decorated in red roses and gold candles, creating a romantic ambiance. Adding a special touch, their beloved dog walked down the aisle, delighting guests and making the moment even more memorable.

Reception

The ballroom was adorned with opulent red roses and luxurious gold details, creating a dramatic and fairytale-like atmosphere that transported everyone to the ballet stage. Candles lit up the room adding a warm and intimate glow to the venue.

One of the standout moments of the day was Esther’s grand entrance, where she recreated her favorite scene from “White Chicks,” walking in to Terry Crews’ rendition of “A Thousand Miles.” Joey, stepping out of his comfort zone, enjoyed every moment of their first dance in front of their guests.

The festivities were vibrant and full of cultural richness, featuring traditional dances and ceremonial shawls that highlighted the couple’s heritage. Guests enthusiastically participated, raising their glasses in joyous celebration and adding to the lively and spirited atmosphere.

Tea Ceremony

As a nod to their cultural heritage, Joey and Esther held a traditional tea ceremony, symbolizing respect and gratitude to their families. Esther looked stunning in a red lace cheongsam adorned with intricate gold and pearl jewelry, while Joey complemented her in a classic black tuxedo.

Advice from the couple:

Joey: Don’t overthink your speeches; nobody remembers them anyway.

Esther: Stay calm and feel Bonita.
