Michelle and Jeremias first crossed paths 11 years ago at Michelle’s 20th birthday celebration, thanks to her brother who brought Jeremias along with a few friends. Their relationship thrives on a remarkable balance. Both cherish their independence, allowing each other the space to pursue their own paths, yet always supportive and united in their journey. For them, balance is essential.
When planning their wedding, Michelle and Jeremias wanted it to mirror their laid-back nature. Their main desires were to create a joyful atmosphere with delicious food and even better drinks, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable celebration.
“The location was breathtaking,” the bride remarked. The charming olive farm called Relais Il Pozzeto seemed as if lifted straight from a movie scene, making the entire experience seem dreamlike. The perfectly arranged flowers on the tables and the music from an Italian folk trio beautifully enhanced the atmosphere. “We aimed for a classic Italian wedding, wanting our guests to feel as though they were in a film,” Michelle explained.
The photography, masterfully handled by Vanessa Olewicz, added a magical touch to the day. Using a film camera, Vanessa captured the soft, diffused light and gentle contrasts that defined each moment. The photographs echoed the wedding’s beige and green color palette, creating a timeless and elegant look. Her skilled use of film photography ensured that every image radiated with warmth and authenticity.
The wedding ceremony was held under a beautifully decorated arch filled with white flowers by Lucacozza Flower Special Events, setting a dreamlike scene as Michelle and Jeremias exchanged vows. Surrounded by old olive trees, the area was arranged with elegant white chairs that blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The joyful occasion was highlighted by the presence of close friends and family, and even their dog, who wore a charming bow tie, added a playful touch to the event. As Michelle and Jeremias walked down the aisle as newlyweds, their loved ones cheered and applauded, capturing the intimate and joyful spirit of their celebration.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests moved to the reception area, seamlessly integrated within the serene olive farm.
From the beginning, Michelle and Jeremias envisioned a concept that blended naturally with the farm’s rustic charm. They opted not to rearrange but rather to incorporate the existing landscape into their setting. The tables were thoughtfully placed among the olive trees, creating a truly immersive experience in nature. The table decor was represented by herbs in natural pots and scattered lemons, providing vibrant color touches. This eco-conscious approach ensured that all elements could be reused, reflecting the couple’s commitment to sustainability.
The reception was an intimate gathering that felt like a warm family dinner under the stars. The setting was magical, lit by fairy lights strung above, which cast a soft glow over the guests. Olive trees surrounded the area, enhancing the rustic and cozy atmosphere.
The couple participated in an Italian tradition by creating a cake in front of their guests, adding a personal and interactive touch to the evening. Live music from a local band featuring guitars, violins, and an accordion added to the festive mood, playing traditional tunes that got everyone onto the dance floor. The highlight of the evening was the couple’s first dance, a moment of closeness and joy of a newlywed couple.
Advice from the couple:
• Go for a wedding planner! We wanted to arrive and enjoy every minute of the wedding. We didn’t want to waste our time making decisions or DIYing bits here and there. That’s something we wanted to let couples who want to get married know by heart. This is a day in a lifetime; don’t waste it because of all the stress.
• Less is more sometimes!
• Don’t overdo it when celebrating on the first day while having a welcome dinner. Remember that you need to get married the next day. We speak out of our experience!
