Dan and Hayley first connected through work, as she managed the finances for his clients. After a year of phone conversations, they decided to meet in person. This meeting led to Dan moving in with Hayley two months later, and their first holiday together in Mykonos. The proposal was just as enchanting; while celebrating their son’s first birthday in the Maldives, Dan orchestrated a surprise by inviting her to a secluded island under the guise of paddleboarding. Instead, he planned a romantic getaway for just the two of them with a candlelit dinner on the beach where he asked her the question.
Panos Demiropoulos Studio made sure that every moment of their big day was photographed beautifully. His expertise in capturing the essence of the occasion added a magical touch to their memories. “The photography and videography were the best we have ever seen at any wedding, and our guests were impressed with the professional conduct and the outstanding quality evident in the photos and videos,” told the bride.
The bride began planning the wedding soon after their engagement. Her vision was a sophisticated and minimalistic wedding, ensuring everyone would have an amazing time.
“We originally wanted to get married in Mykonos because it holds very special memories of our 1st holiday together, but we decided on Santorini because we fell in love with the wedding venue – El Viento Santorini,” the bride shared.
Hayley always planned to have a simple and elegant wedding dress that matched the decor and the venue. “I wanted the bridesmaids to reflect the same style, and I chose black for them right away,” explained Hayley. Dan knew from the moment they got engaged that the men would wear black tie, aiming for a James Bond feel.
The wedding ceremony was held in front of a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea, embodying Hayley’s vision of French-inspired elegance and simplicity. The setting was decorated in black and white, featuring her favorite white roses. “I wanted the décor to ooze sophistication and class,” Hayley explained. The soulful sounds of the saxophone and piano echoed Dan and Hayley’s shared love for music, adding a special touch and romantic atmosphere.
After their wedding ceremony, Hayley and Dan slipped away in their convertible to catch the stunning Santorini sunset. These photos show the couple’s joy and the stunning backdrop, adding a magical touch to their getaway moment.
The reception venue was a secret until the very day, where guests were transported to a breathtaking cliffside location overlooking the sea. The tables were elegantly set with black and white decor, featuring towering white roses and big chandeliers above the table. “The speeches were unbelievable, and when Dan and I walked down to greet the guests, it was the most special moment,” recalled Hayley.
As the day came to a close, fireworks lit up the night sky, surprising and delighting the guests. The evening ended with everyone dancing under the stars, a perfect conclusion to such a joyful celebration. “The wedding was spectacular and we were so happy with every single element of the day,” Hayley reflected.
Advice from the couple:
• Go with your gut and enjoy planning your wedding; you only get this chance once, so have fun and relax. Enjoy the build-up and your big day; after all, it’s YOUR day, not your guests.
